Motorcycle Drag Racing Event This Weekend

Take a nice ride out to Byron this weekend and check out some of the area's fastest streetbikes! Sep. 8 and 9th.

I'll be out there on Sunday only. Stop by and say hello if you make it out.

I won't be riding up, my bike doesn't really enjoy traveling more than a 1/4 at a time.
If you go look for this bike

We should be pitted very close to tech/ main entrance.

Its was a great weekend. Just too many events going on. This was the first weekend all year that so many ppl were there and so the event took a long time. Next year it will much better with the turnouts of bikes hopefully they become bike events only next year.

It really does need to become a bike only day!

That 9.50 class is awesome, I wish that was around before I built my bike I would have built my bike for that instead.

Jake nice meeting you even if it was only for like 2 seconds.

It was the worse I have ever seen it. They have never book so many events with the bikes. I know a couple buddys got in 5 runs they got there @ Noon and left about 5. I would the most someone got was 8 to 10.

Remeber there is a forum where the owners read what racers want and don't want...

That's what I was wondering. At the last RSD it was the same thing. I was there over 3 hours and only got in 3 runs. Just enough to figure out how the clutch works again.

This was the only race this year that you couldn't get 10+ runs in one day.
Still I think some ppl were able to get in 8 runs. Remeber always looking for associate sponsors for next year for little as 200.00

i was up there sunday, had a late start and only got 2 passes.

there was a group of dick heads trying to street race for money and causing drama. they need to keep that shit to RSD events. my budy was about to kick the crap out of like 5 of them, the scary part is i think he could have done it all by himself. anyways, all but the drama it was a good day with great weather.

There is always racing for money at drag racing events. If its side betting at Prostar to grudge matches at the local track. Gambling is part of drag racing.

Now fighting doesn't belong at the track. If getting offered a race and getting in over your head causes you to want to fight then maybe your buddy should stay away from the track.

he was aproched by these guys not the other way around. he was there to have fun and they where being pricks. he agreed to race them, then they started changing things and making stipulations. at that point he said forget it and they started the whole "grow some balls" and shit talking.

if you want to fight and talk shit do it some where ells. people don't go to test and tune looking for a street race. thats what RSD is for. if you want to do some friendly side betting thats completly diffrent.....

For some reason I didn't get approached by anyone to grudge race, but then again I don't work for a performance shop either.

Even if I did there would have been no drama. A simple I don't want to race for money I'm here for testing would have stopped all the B.S.

I don't know you, I've met your buddy (lined up next to each other) but I know whenever you are at a drag racing event especially motorcycles there a ton of shit talking going on and very rarely is meant to be anymore than that.
