sorry Ken. had to even if you are exagerating.

I got to find some old slips for details but. It was my '92 GSXR 750. I ran an 11.32 at 119mph with a 883 bore kit, ported head, pipe and jet kit with a 2" stretch and a 3" drop. I later added a Dyna ignition, 2-step rev limiter, mikuni flatslides, cam degree, and a air-shifter but never took it back to the track after that.

I was running 11.1 With My old Katana 600 back in 95. Man I really need to get back to the track. All it had was a yosh pipe and one tooth drop.

aaaaaaaaaah....your probably right. A full second seems like a stretch to me to mess up a launch that bad. But I've never really tried real hard to launch bikes like ours with short wheel bases and light front ends. I guess it could be possible to gain close to a second on the launch.

I dont know Ken, I know youve done some work to that thing but without interanl engine mods I dont think its a 9 second bike, might be damn close though

I'm pretty sure that bike would be cabable of 9's professionally driven. Ken could probably get pretty close with some practice

I would hope so. He'd be pushin' 170hp's at that point. Bikes with less ponies and not too much lighter are capable of 9's professionally driven.

hmmmmmm.....I'm trying to remember the weight to time estimated ratio. If I remember right it was every 50lbs was .3 of a second.

Uhhh, lemme think.

[email protected] on my stock '90 CBR1000 - like 7 years ago.

[email protected] on my '96 F3, pipe and jetted ~4 years ago.

Haven't run the Gix yet, but I'm a whole lot better at holeshotting it now than I was the last time I went to the track with a bike. I'd hope to go mid-10s on it (?) It will see the track at some point before the year is over.

Sheezus... bikes have come a long way - I recall DanO's 636 trapping in the low 130s... that's +12mph on my old 1000!!!

Ken, you need to lower it to get low 10's. A professional rider will probably cut low 1.6 60' times on a lowered bike but you have to carry the weight of the bike and rider all the way down the track. I don't think you'll get a 9 sec pass on your bike. Sorry
