Talking My first experience racing

Today was my first time racing of any type. My buddies and I went up to the Byron Drag strip for test and tune. Let me tell you it was the most fun I've ever had on my bike. My first run was very sketchy to say the least, with an 11.834 pass with a R/T of 1.065. Remember this was the first time ever lining up on a tree. I only got in eight passes, because they also had a big race going on today. If they weren't racing I'm sure we would got more passes in. My best pass of the day was as follows.

R/T .544 sec.

60' 1.862 sec.

330 4.878 sec.

1/8 7.342 sec

MPH 99.8

1000 9.488 sec.

1/4 11.326 sec.

MPH 121.90

Those numbers would be better if my second gear was good. There’s nothing like flying down the track with second slipping about five times before my shift into third. Can't wait to see what my times will be after the trans rebuild. The drag strip was a lot of fun but I think that when I finally get to go to BHF I'll like it better. In the mean time I'll do what I can.

Yes the track is slightly down hill. I'm not sure if that would make a big difference in times though.

you would not notice a differnce, the track is still str8 and is a 1/4 mile.. it would make a difference as far as the weather, or the attitude like here or mile high race park in denver...
