I've never been to the strip with a bike I was wondering what they require as far as clothing. I have a jacket, gloves, and helmet, beyond that do they require full leathers or are jeans and over the ankle boots ok?
I have a fairly stock bike(yosh,K&N, and jet kit are the only mods).

Oh yeah I don't have a windscreen right now, does that matter to them?

Your gear should be fine as long as your not going below 11 seconds. (which should be right if your just starting out on the track and riding an F3) You shoud be in the mid to low 11's Those boots will be fine. make sure you have a chain gaurd, and you should be ready to go. I dopnt think the windscreen will matter, but it will affect your aerodynamice so I would go pick one up.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

I know down at 41 dragway. They don't really give a shit.

Helmet, gloves, jacket, boots. Thats it. Even if you're running below 11's I dont think they'll say anything.

But then again, it is Indiana

Thanks a lot guys, Gotta go pick up a chain guard, which is ok since I was looking for a carbon fiber hugger/guard combo anyway. Thanks again

Mid to low 11's on an F3? He's gonna be pulling his hair out with you saying that when he runs a low 12. These things aren't THAT fast

It doesn't go by time it goes by trap speed as far as requiring leather pants or not.

If you hit 120 MPH or more then you NEED leather pants along with the other equipment: helmet, leather jacket, gloves, and over-ankle shoes/boots. I don't think you have to worry about going that fast on your F3 so you should be fine.

Good luck and have fun!

An F3 is capable of low 11's, but you need ot be good. I ran a 11.7 @118 but i sucked back then. I think I could break 11 now with a good launch.

I agree, I doubt he'll see 120mph.

I've seen it done on a bike the same year as yours. 11.3 at union grove back in the mid 90's friend of mine had one just piped and jetted, with one tooth down

Thanks again guys

BTW My buddy ran his 93 gixxer 1100 @ byron and posted an 11.85 @ 118. I know that I'm quicker than him on the street cause I can launch a lot harder than him but I can tell that he's carrying more speed than me.

So hopefully I can run in the 11's prefferably mids, but I'm not gonna get my hopes up too much, and I don't think I have to worry about my speed, but we shall see.

Don't know when I'm gonna try going though.
