i want to learn

but i dont know any real stunters,
i really would like to learn to wheelie, (wheelie well) i can do low speed power wheelies in first and second but i have very little controll over them, however they are getting better and more controlable but i could use some tuttorence and a safe place to practice.

anybody here go stunting and would not mind if i tagged along?
PM me if you like, thanks alot

I'll get flamed for this but if you are talking about anything other than 1st or 2nd gear monos, you are going to have to clutch up either of your bikes - Doing that takes long empty straights - Hence my love for 94 @ 7:30 am on a Sunday - I feel as if I have more control in a 2nd gear "pop" up or a 3rd clutch up - Still learning the Busa's bal points but would love the old tiller (rest her soul) in 2nd's and hard as fuk with a clutch and a tug up in 3rd

But realistically...you probably wouldn't stunt a mint rsv, right?

edit: well actually, you could since you know what you're doing. I don't think you would have tried to learn on a bike like that, though.

If youre serious, and have an extra $375 you can learn in a controlled environment on someone elses bike.....

I think the instructors are from star boyz. Good luck.

I wouldnt suggest it, those parts are expensive. At least with gixxers or F4's etc yo can fleabay up some cheap parts. granted I've been known to loft one on occasio on my harley and duc, but not very serious ones. My skillz are not that good for that shit.

I dunno how to wheelie either but i've been told that it's better to clutch. I'm still scared to so i'm starting off slow and powering it up in first, just to 'gauge' my 'oh shit' meter. As stated above, i wouldn't want to stunt a RSV. Your bike though....

Or practice on perfecting balance on a mountain bike. I'm practicing stoppies on my MB then once i perfect it i will implement that skill onto my RR.

how about a dirt bike?

i am thinking, light weight, tons of torque, cheap body work and is cheap as hell to replace if you wanted. and dirtbikes are made for a trashing.

maybe thats the best bet for you to learn on.

i am thinking control is control, throttle control, break control, balance point control, body posistion etc.

then each time we move to another bike we still learn the same issues but we master them faster on that bike because of our previous skills.

thats my opinion.

my other is learn to ride really good on a street bike before you try to push the limits of a street bike.

maybe i am all wrong but i think it works for me in my situation.

others my vary.

what do you think nick?

you were a good rider, then went into stunting, and now your interest is track riding.

all in all, i think its you and you only theo how much effort and "pain" for all the crashing your going to do that will make your efforts and how far you push for them.

i am not here to change your mind i am just trying to give advise.

Not unless it's a government building or the people who own the parking lot have asked you to leave. It's private property and out of their jurisdiction, in all likeliness they will ask you to move along though.

Save your wheelies for the street, YWB love them.
