Talking Chicago riders get together to stunt

okay here's the deal, I've find a nice warehouse district near Division & Halstead in Chicago North that is in great shape with plenty of space to practice stunting. I try to swing by there three times a week after I get off work and practice wheelies (I just started).

If anybody from Chicago wants to get some practice in with me, this area is perfect. This will be a great opportunity to teach/learn and just hang out with your fellow riders. You can be a veteran or just starting like me, but if you're interested in getting together in a group reply in this thread and we'll see if we can get something going.

Safe riding all.

You're aware that there's a police station right around the block right? Not my first choice. There's a warehouse lot over by a trainyard back there that's MUCH better (or at least more out of sight). All you have to do is ask some of the homeless people nicely to move out of the way first.

If you're serious about learning the whullies in Chicago proper, you might want to head further south or west. There used to be some clean lots south of Chinatown, or better yet some lots out by Cicero & Chicago Ave.

Happy lofting. Post pics!

you might want to re-think your original spot cause Underdog is right. There is a station right there.

The Cop House is on Divison and Larrabee - If you are talking about going over the River onto Goose Island, be carefull as Fed Ex and Republic Window own that little strip and have made plenty of "donations" to the Mayor's CPD so it gets patroled pretty well - Not to mention the Shrimp Shack is there so the boys in blue while rolling, love them some shrimp.

Just go to 94 and head north and wheelie your ass off - Thats what I do

I definately need a quite spot with no traffic and this area is the only one I could find. I've been there quite a few times and never have had any problems.

Where's that spot specifically?

If anybody knows of a better spot go ahead and post it. Lets try and get together later this week or weekend.

i think your going to have problems getting people to post their sacrid spots... as they are hard to find we wouldn't want anyone unwanted to know where they are... you might be better off just meeting up with some people then heading to one of their spots... just my .02

Be careful if stunting near the railroad yard there. I work for the railroad, and go to that yard from time to time. The gumshoes (RR police) have been all over everyones a$$ lately. There have been some threats about RR being a target for terrorism. They can and will arrest you, they are real police. Im all for keeping the stunts off the streets and in areas like that, just dont want anyone to get in trouble.

Talking meet on Sunday 9/3 @ 3pm

If weather permits, the plan is to meet up on Sunday Sept. 3rd at 3:00pm at the gas station on the corner of Division & Halsead. Search on google maps for "division & halstead, chicago, il" to get directions to it.

All levels of riders welcome.

If you can make it go post a reply so we can get a count of how many people are gonna show up. Safe riding.

Funny. I work at that intersection. Many rides home have been waylaid by a few wheelies up & down those streets. Yeah, the police station is close, but I've never had a problem. I've met a few of the beat cops around here bc of neighborhood issues.. hopefully that'll get me out of a ticket when they do catch me .

not a good idea to say where a spot is on an open public forum. u never know who is reading it and you dont want a spot to blow up too much cuz itll get shut down real quick
