Good "how to wheelie" Vid

Someday, I'll got over my wheelie impotence. I just use my supermoto as moto-Viagra since it makes it so much easier to get it up.

Enjoy, and keep it in a safe environment with appropriate gear!!

I haven't used any of the tips from this video yet but it seems to me to have some good information and starts at the basics

when i try to slip it up in 2nd on my drz it seems to not
have enough power. watching that 1st vid that guy has
no problems at all. in 2nd it just jumps up a bit and the
rpm's are so high by then i just put it back down. in 1st
i can do it until i run out of gear, which isnt to long.

I still can't wheelie for shit. I tried to power wheelie in 1st gear and came up really fast and scared the shit out of me. I let go of the throttle and the bike came down fast without me. So when it was coming down I accidentally rolled the throttle (since I was leaning back already) and popped another wheelie. It scared the shit out of me and I have never tried them after that.

Its a new season though so I might just give it a go again this year!

That sweet R1 of yours should have no shortage of power for garbage wheelies

I'm going to playing around with them more this season as well. Mostly on the supermoto because its easier and it crashes well, but I'm hoping to figure out clutch-technique wheelies a bit better on the SD.

I can ride my DRZ out of first in a wheelie, I have not gotten it in to second yet. Can also come up in second, but I have not tried this year. Been out once this year. The slipping the clutch thing I have tried yet, I just us the bounce and power method.

Mods are a full yosh, jet kit, 3x3 mod and 200+ pounds sitting on the seat.

I love wheelies! Nothing like comin hot out of a corner and standing that bitch up! Sometimes if I do it right I feel like a Moto GP racer comin out of the last corner and gunning down the straight on 1 wheel. YEAH!

p.s. - I still suck at wheelies but it's still fun!

+1
I remember one track weekend at Autobahn north on the 999 I did that. Squared up a guy for a pass on the exit of T6, got it pointed and went WFOT. I went roaring by with the front wheel a good 3ft of the deck. Didn't plan the wheelie, but it was a good feeling

Me too - I just dont have the balls.......although I heard from a bird that if you keep getting to the top end of the gear, your not getting it high enough to get it to the balance point where you can just maintain throttle and modulate with the rear brake.....but thats just hearsay.

I spend a couple hours last year trying to get the SV up in the air.

Either my arse is too big, or I just have no skill...I just couldn't get that wheel up.

The closest I've come was when a Hardley guy was revving his motor and me and Peanut at a stop light. I opened the SV up as soon as the light when green and the dude couldn't keep up with me...I swear the front end got light, but I don't think the wheel got off the ground.

I wanna learn how to wheelie so badly... After my accidental wheelie last week I got such a huge adrenaline rush that I'm dying to try it again. I just gotta wait til I buy my bike tho.
