Question about speeding tickets.

What happens if you ride in a group or with someone else as the trailer and get pulled over for speeding, will you get a ticket as well as everyone else in the group or is it just the leader?

Everyone gets a ticket. You were all "driving". Following the leader is not an excuse, because you could have slowed down at any time.

There are some tried and true CLSB accepted responses to the arresting officer:

1. "Look officer, I ride my tires all the way out to the edge."

2. "My GPS says we weren't speeding"

Depends on the circumstances, Ive seen the ride leader take the hit and the rest get off due to negotiation by the lead rider. Props to the "Leader" im talking about-you know who you are

"When in doubt, use full throttle. It may not improve your situation, but it will end the suspense."

Who in the hell pulls over when in a group Hesus one LEO can't get you all. Last time Fastbeemer took the hit on the way back from West Virginia, I kept going. The time before I took the hit for Jammin and MSL217 in TN. The LEOs must love you guys, the entire group pulls over, everyone gets tickets, nuts. Leaders responsibility, is to play dumb take his sweet time pulling over, while the rest of the group falls way back, pulls a U-turn and everyone heads off in different directions. Everyone has cell phones, text each other to met up again.

Sometimes goodbye is your second chance.

Yup. Avoid group buys whenever you can. In addition to the leader taking their sweet time, the sweeper should hang back a bit. Especially when slabbing.

Look at it this way, they band together to catch/write whomever they can. We need to cooperate & work against their advantages.
