speeding ticket question

first im ganna start off saying ive been driving for 4-5 years now and have never gotten a ticket.. i do the speed limit 99% of the time.
2 months ago i got a new winter beater and this month i have gotten 2 tickets.
1st one is in elmwood park doing 45 in a 30 (pleaded guilty and paid the extra for traffic school) then i got one on I-88 doing 88 in a 55 (still think its 65 where i was at)
now i have to go to court for this ticket because of how fast i was going..
today i was driving next to my friend in a 45mph zone. he calls and tells me to slow down but when i look down my speedo says 45. he says im going about 60. so now i figure my speedo is messed up.
what im really wondering is how much trouble am i in when i go to court? never delt with this before so dont really know what to expect.
also, on the ticket in the bond information it says full amount 160.00, is that how much i have to pay? pretty ticked off i have to deal with this because my speedo is off.
another thing to mention is both of these tickets were really late at night with no traffic on the roads and i usually just drive to work and back in it which is only about 2 miles from my house. thanks in advance

Get the speedo fixed and take the paperwork to court.

Just drive in the slowest lane of traffic or drive 15 mph less than the speed limit to be sure. However, to beat this ticket, get the speedo fixed and bring the paperwork in. Maybe that'll work.

it should help his case. especially since his record is normally clear. If it was me they would just laugh

Also get yourself a garmin. having the gps speed displayed on your dash is more accurate than any speedo.

The Buick probably has a mechanical to electrical speed pickup on the output shaft of the transmission that can be replaced. I would start with that, junkyard or autoparts store, they're pretty cheap.

Here:

$75

Just bring the receipts to show the judge you fixed it. A photo of a GPS speed and dash speed before the fix and after would seal it for you. Just explain your story that you became suspicious there was a vehicle malfunction and you fixed it.

Good call on having it fixed before court. Just ask them to document anything they find, and why you need that information. Also make sure you take paperwork to prove you just got the car. Issue date of title/registration should work.

the only thing i have to add to this thread is you cant tell the difference between 60 and 45 OR 88 and 65 just by looking out the window? And youve been driving for 5 years?

How do u read sings. That's why they have no speed limits cause they can't read the signs aka sings

go time traveler style and go back in time, fuck his grandma, then shoot forward in time and then fuck his mom. Then return back to present state and call him a the product of two incest whores and hes your son and show video of you plowing the both members of his family. .

What makes you think Germany doesn't have speed limits?
