Speeding ticket

If you guys are going to be in the naperville area thru this weekend, do not speed. I got a ticket yesterday and the cop said they will have speed traps setup thru the weekend. It sucks getting a speeding ticket so early in the riding season...

Thanks,
Haaris

Ever since they talked about losing the red light camera in Naperville due to construction the cops have been 2-3 times more visible. Naperville has never been a town to horse around in.

Cheap, you weren't going all that fast then. Word to the wise, the first couple of nice days in the springs the cops get woodies for speediers, because its like fish in a tank. I saw an asshat with laser just 2 blocks from where Jrock lives...oh laser detectors do work. He zapped the guy 200 yards in front of me and I time to slow from @60 to 45, the posted limit

So the cop is an "@sshat" because he's trying to catch people breaking the law... like you?

Speeding is breaking the law? Then we are a nation of law breakers. The badge usually reads "Serve and Protect" not "Ticket and Harass" but I guess its easier to ticket speeders than catch a rapist, mugger, murderer or financial analyst. Why wasn't he set up in a school zone, where speed does kill? Why wasn't he roving looking for drunk drivers or people texting? Can you imagine the mayhem on the roads if everyone drove the speed limit

Lots of those around Jrock's house?

You still haven't answered my question, why is he an "@sshat" for doing his job?

Counter arguments: maybe there was another cop at the school zone; maybe the spot this one was at is known for speeders; maybe locals complain about speeders in the area; maybe he's looking for people texting while driving at the same time as using his laser.

However your arguments are all beside the point.

Gotta say your failure in logic saddens me.
My logic It is my opinion the last thing a police officer should be doing with our tax dollars is sitting around trying to raise revenues (or tax us twice) by catching "speeders". I see literally hundreds of other traffic infractions in a 30 minute drive, ones that a real hazard to safety, let them catch those people. Writing speeding tickets doesn't serve nor protect anyone...my opinion...no logic need

You should be a cop, Rick. I'm sure you have a mountie outfit in your closet. Get out there and catch those bad guys! It's obvious the world needs you.
