If on a group ride, and johnny law decides to pull up behind you, does that mean everyone else does too? I would not think so.

Tricky .....

If everyone stops ..... Sometimes they cut you all a break ....... Sometimes they write you all.

If an individual is stopped from the pack, that individual is pretty much done ..... But it saves the rest ....... Generally.

The latter is my recommendation.

we have a rule in our group - the last one or the one who had been singled out stops and gets it, the rest cover his ticket/court expenses

You pull over, you get a ticket.
I was on a ride with some people here and we got pulled over but the guy in the front didn't realize and was almost on the highway. He came back and we all got tickets.

Find some streets with lots of turns or find the highway. I've only been tagged with a large group once during a ride where 5.0 tried to tag us, but we had nothing to do with the front of the group. The cop seen me take my helmet off and said "arent u a little OLD to be riding this kind of bike?!" we joked for a bit, calmed him down, let him check everyone for being legal riders, and then we were gone with no tickets.

...plus my gf was with me saying "omg slow down, slow down" and I was thinking "Lose annoying squalk box in passenger seat, afford more mods and have less weight in the car and on the back of the bike"...so i dumped her and I'm single again as usual...HERE KITTY KITTY!!!

I was riding with a group from this board a few years back. I was the backmarker and a cop flew by me as we approached a T-junction in the road. I briefly considered turning around and riding off but I decided to take my medicine with my friends.

It was a good thing, too, because there were two more cops behind that one, then a few more came from each direction on the T-junction. We were pretty pinned in.

The cool thing is as soon as we took our helmets off the cops realized we weren't the group they'd been looking for (some youngsters were causing trouble I guess) and all but two cops left. The lead cop ended up giving us all warnings for 9 over instead of for how fast we really were going.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

I bleed GREEN
