[email protected]#kn $100 parking ticket for a pipe!

one of my boys was getting gas last night at the BP on lasalle in chicago. a cop car was sitting in the station pull up to him and asked for his license and insurance. then he wrote him a $100 dollor fine on his exhaust. he didn't even revved it up at all, it dosen't even idle loud. since when can cops give tickets on private property to even paying customers. guess that cop was just being a prick. watch out everybody.

i know that some cops have noise meters in chicago and they will come to your bike and use it. that i've know for some time, but when they sit in a business property and ticket a paying customer who is not loitering, that is [email protected]#ked up! i mean they might as well give my a ticket in my garage for my pipes too.

I know, its pretty bad. unfortunately that place has historically been a huge loitering hangout for bikes. To the point where I'm sure the station lost business. This is the result. stinks.

someone posted on here before that they have a list of manufacturers that they could ticket even if they don't hear it at all.

As far as the ticket go's they have been doing that since the late 80's nothing new. ANd as far as private property goes they can do it if they have a complaint and permission from the owner of the property. Obviously the owner does want all the bikes hanging out there. It's just like handicapped spaces, they will usually only come through and ticket you if someone complains. I know I called the cops one time casue this bitch at work that I hateed parked in a handicapped spot, so I said, awesome I fuck her over, I called the cops and they had to make sure I was a building representitive and complaining about it before they would come out.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

I'll add that to my "places to avoid" list. It's a shame.. that is right down the street from me.

We were there lastnite also, but I remember about the hassle BS from the cops so we parked down around the corner. Which was also a good thing because some bullshit happened where a guy got called out to fight and jumps out of the car with a fawkin gun. Next thing we know there was an undercover cop pulling out a gun.. TIME TO GET THE HELL OUTTA THERE!!!

Ask me ill tell you...........anything I wanna hear

You were in Chicago, whatcha expect?

The optimist believes that we live in the best of all possible worlds...
The pessimist fears this to be true.
