Need advice...

i got ripped out of 10g's about 2 years ago and the guy disappeared. He not only ripped me off, but a couple other people and the village of mc henry. Well anyways, my friend was a CLC and saw him leaving in a car and he got a license plate #. I was wondering if i can take it to the cops and get it traced so i can give it to a lawyer and he can start sueing that f**k so i can get my money back. hopefully i do get my money back cause i'm pissed and this guy has been hiding and shows he's face around here.....sooo yea...sorry if none of this makes sense, i'm just venting outta anger right now...

It depends how you got ripped off...freely giving money to someone without a written contract is not really punishable...and i think the only way the cops will help ya is if you actually go through them with charges, etc....don't think they'll just release personal info.

Do you have his name? That should be enough to bring a suit. Only thing is, without any contract it's tough. And unless he's got the money, you won't get any even if you win.

How'd he rip the county off? Couldn't they find him?

i do have a contract and the reason we couldn't find him was due to the fact he simply went on the dl....he moved from he's dad house to somewhere in WI and that's all i found out... and now he just shows up out nowhere and i can't let him get away again.... if he doesn't have any money, i won't get anything? i thought if they person doesn't have the money that the court sets up a payment plan or something....arrrghh...

Con

Take it to the cops. As long as there is something legitimate you might have something on minimum for court. Don't expect money back too soon or even at all.
If others were involved get them on board as well. The more the better the case.

If you get me the plate number I can probably get it ran within the next few days. If it's his car, it'll give you his name and residence.

I get ripped off by a roofing company a few years back, I had a contract with them and do did about another 50 people. well he stopped paying his vendors and closed the business. States attorney has been investigating for the last 3 years, even arrested him once and nothing has come of it. Dont expect the state to help you out too much. now efery time I call the attourney they are "Still looking into it", the government in this state is worthless.

you can also hire a privet invetigator (like i did) and got his info then gave that to the cops...i also hired an attorney...the investigated him and saw that the fucker was incorporated and fucked me and others and filed bankrupt...they pretty much said fuck the guy...he had nothing in his name along with the house in his wifes name and every car...chances of you getting anything from him are slim to none at best...

...plus my gf was with me saying "omg slow down, slow down" and I was thinking "Lose annoying squalk box in passenger seat, afford more mods and have less weight in the car and on the back of the bike"...so i dumped her and I'm single again as usual...HERE KITTY KITTY!!!

Funny but true.
That's how my friend got his money back, called Ukrainian guy (very big and ugly dude),Ukrainian knocked on guy door, told him money back or your family members will have problems. 2 days later guy show up with $$$. I know it's not civil, but that was the only way to get money back.

But at some time, your friend will be called upon to render a service. That day may not come, but when it does......
