I got a nice bill for $355.30 Saturday afternoon. They better waive the fees when I call them tomorrow.

They will...as long as you have an i-pass account that's active...if it's faulty equipment, they'll waive everything...if you have any problems, let me know. My old roommates dad is director of construction for the toll authority, he's got pull...i might be able to help if they give ya a hard time, but you should be fine.

Cool thanks. My I-Pass account has been active and fully funded since January 2005. Hopefuly they will just deduct the missed tolls. Cerk, I'll let you know if I need help.

You can complain THROUGH him ...he's only involved directly with construction activities...he's not administration...but he's a higher up in the organization as a whole so can help with individual cases through knowing the right people.

Well I finally got in contact with someone at I-Pass since they were closed all weekend and Presidents day. I just had to verify my info all the fines were dismissed. It was easy enough.

That sucks!

I've taken it upon myself to once a month check the IPASS website and make sure they are deducting some amounts so that way I know my IPASS is working. I don't feel like getting a bill for my IPASS not working properly. So far, so good.

Currently the are in the process of fixing I-294 which is what I use constantly so it's a pain in the ass with all the construction and one lane mergers by Irving Park Road.

There used to be a guy selling license plate covers on eBay that were made of a special material that would turn opaque once an electrical current was run through it. I regret not buying one when I saw it because now I can't find them anywhere.

Solution:

1) Register for Wisconsin plates.

2) Tint windows since tints are legal in WI.

3) Run tolls until there's some co-op with WI for fines.

4)

UNFUCKING BELIEVEABLE!!!!!!!!!!!! You should be able to sue these assholes for puting you through that for above and beyond your court fees and fines! Who do they think they are?! I can guarantee you that you were not the first rider to have this experience yet they still let this shit go on because "oh well it is just a few rare cases."
