OK from the looks of things i may have to find a lawyer up here, Could get very very costly.
Will give it some time maybe someone knows somebody closer who may be friends with judge ect. Small towns and big city lawyers dont always work to well.

Not saying the lawyer you are suggesting isn't a good one, but it may be better to go with a lawyer from the county in question. It was suggested to me by a lawyer that it is sometimes better to be represented by someone who is on a first name basis w/ the judge/prosecutor i.e. an attorney that practices in the same county as the court you are to report to. Of course I am sure there are instances where this could go against you as well. just my .02

Not quite as bad as the one I received last Oct (112 in a 35 (but it was on a back country road w/ no intersections or driveways. I would never even remotely do something like this around other traffic/intersections). Did he take you in, or did they let you sign an "arrest and booking form" and let you ride home?

41+ over is "reckless driving" mandatory "try on these bracelets" in Illinois.

are you sure? I got a 98 in a 55 when I was a kid, and all I got was the speeding ticket, no reckless driving, or shiney bracelets, I didn't even get taken into the station, just given a ticket on the side of the road and sent off on my way. I went to court and paid a stiff fine, but that was all, just a stiff fine. I thought the reckless driving was up to the officer, and in cook county, (from what I have been told by an officer) reckless driving, is in it self seperate from speeding, there is no automatic reckless driving amount.

prepaid legal has never let me down.

I pay 26 bucks a month. If I get a ticket, I don't have to appear in court on an infraction. The lawyer goes to court, I get supervision so it doesn't go on my record and I pay the fine.

24/7/365 Lawyer Consultation.

I'll be a member for life.

They have saved my dumb ass enough.

Oh yea, and no matter where you are in the country or world for that matter they will hire somebody to help you with your situation.

The officer was nice about the whole deal considering i am being accused of doing 53 over the limit. Now i must go prove my innocents before the court.
To answer some of the questions above yes i could have been taken in and had my bike impounded for the speed I am accused of going. But guess there was something unbeknown to me that he let me go on my way lucky .

I would greatly appreciate any help in this matter to help in my sole defence before the court.

Thanks for all the responses to my request for help in this matter.

All i can say this one hurt. Just came back from court $650.00 dollars lighter. Ticket reduced to 15 over had to take the hit on the record guilty. Not to bad considering my 3 page drive record. Just a heads up Grundy county don't offer driving classes.

That over 40mph law is pretty fresh, I believe it's only about 3-4 years old.

You can also buy a power cable with simple positive and negative leads. Tie those into your headlight circuit (ie, always on) and wire it up. There's some good sites with handlebar mounts for detectors and loud ass speakers so you can hear them. Best of luck!
