Looking for a great DUI lawyer recommendation...

A buddy of mine I work with has been without his license for 3 years now. He had 2 DUI's previously and his license has been revoked for 3 years.

He has been trying to get it back on his own, going to the hearings and pleading his own case. He has had no success and decided the only way to get his license back is to hire a lawyer.

He has a lawyer he has been talking to, but he is less than confindent that the guy can get him his license back. Basically he saved up enough money to pay the guy but does not have full confidence in the lawyer he has been talking to. He needs his license back on the first try, money is very tight.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

I think Mike, aka Thunderstruck posted something about this in the past month. Try doing a search.

Nice, thanks for the link. If that guy is a regular traffic court attorney, he probably doesn't do DUI's. There are specific lawyers for that field.

Yeah, but Mike had mentioned an attorny at one time for DUI's but I can't find the post. This may be it, or he may know of someone. Just a start.

Larry Davis - (847) 390-8500

He's in Des Plaines on Rand Road. Very good DUI lawyer for both before and after problems.

I had two friends in the exact same situation. This guy gets it done quick. One of my buddies even had 3 DUI's, 2 in one night if you can believe that! Both got their licenses back within a month or two of hiring Larry Davis. Be prepared to go to a hearing or two though as the state makes this process painfull.

Always include WHERE the DUI occurred. Good lawyers can be great in their main court system, and shit outside of it.

It was in DuPage county. The hearings are in Joliet though. I think there are only like 2 spots in Illinois that they hold these hearings. One is Joliet and the other is Springfield. So any lawyer that specializes in revoked licenses due to DUI should be familiar with the courthouse in Joliet.

Thanks for the all the recommendations, I'm passing them on and hopefully he can find someone that will get him his license back the first try.
