Ticket by camera

Is there any way to get out of a ticket if you got caught by a camera at an intersection, assuming you were actually driving the car?

I presume the answer is no but hopefully someone had a different experience.

Thanks!

Search the Suntimes they did a story about this and the answer is pretty much NO!

A few slight cases that did.

Not sure if this applys in Illinois, but in Colorado if you can't see the drivers face the ticket is void. The reason behind was you could claim you weren't driving your car and they would drop the ticket. Happened to my brother when he took my car for a spin. But if you can tell its you, just suck it up and pay the fine and stop going through red lights!!!!!

nah Dan,

Chicago is soooo much more sophisticated...they dont care whose driving, u own the plates/vehicle you own the ticket.

I will say it again, Chicago/Illinois is a laughingstock compared to other cities/states

Ah, well then, whats the point of this thread???

What if I was mooning the camera as I drove through a red light? Could I still get a ticket? Or would I get an award for being talented?

The only way to avoid a ticket in your case is to have your fat-ass covering the plate, or doing a 12 o'clock wheelie through the light...LOL
