Speed control cameras on 88?

Are there speed control cameras on 88 near rt 59? I was hauling ass going westbound, got to my destination, checked out a house, and on the way back noticed a sign that said traffic control cameras or something to that effect. I was looking for them but couldn't see anything. Anyone ever get screwed on 88?

Cameras? Dunno, did you see any parked vans?

Screwed on 88? Does getting a blowjob count?

Only if the van is there. I drive down 88 everyday, I've seen the van maybe twice so far.

Pretty soon they will be timing how long it takes to get from one toll to the other. That is when I reach back and bend the plate up on the bike. Oh wait! I do that anyway.

The data is all in their databases and I'm sure someone has already taken the time to tell them how much revenue they could make if they turned that data over to the ISP for tickets.

They already do this on the OH turnpike. The question isn't IF we'll see it here, but WHEN!

I heard they are going to ticket everyone retroactivly for every speeding offense back 10 years with the Ipass data they have on file.

That should start a hell of a web rumor

Holy crap imagine getting litteraly thousands of speeding tickets in the mail.

They don't even have to be GPS enabled. From what I hear, triangulation works just fine.

For the tollway, just pay cash on one end of the stretch if you drove like Mario Andretti and put the ipass in the glovebox or sit on it.

They use cameras with software that OCRs license plates now, so that's not gonna work. Sorry, Arch

Blew by the vans 4-5 months ago, never received anything. Then again, i was only going 60mph and i was drafting behind a van.

While the data will be present, the query to match compliance via cash against compliance w/ iPass gets a bit more fun due to the enormous volume of compliant rows on a daily basis and the 'rollup' points where the records will end up. (transponder triggered events, cash triggered events, violations events etc).

Most analytical work deals with 'exceptions' (violations) and that is where their effort is concentrated most. One could always just exit at a point w/out a booth or avoid the tollways entirely. That loss of the larger pool of revenue is probably what is keeping this from being implemented.

Or they may be worried about the possible increase in plate crime people stealing licenese plates or driving with no plates. It would be easier to take the risk of not having plates visiable on the car, you might get busted once a month for that instead of 4 tickets a day with your plates on.

Yeah and that violation would only turn into a felony probably

NESBA - Seems to be missing, can someone direct me where to find it?
