question

I will be picking up a trailer in about 3 weeks in southern Indiana. Trailer has never been titled. What do I need to bring this trailor back without getting any tickets? Is a bill of sale good? I will be taking it about 300 miles. I have never bought a vehicle outside of illinois, which here i just run to the currency exchange and im all set. If anyone knows let me know please?

Thanks

I would just get a bill of sale.

On a side note, I have been running a trailer with expired plates for the last three years with no problems.

I picked up my trailer from Indiana. It was titled but not registered. I just drove it home with the signed over title and registered it a couple weeks later. It is doubtful that anyone will bother you as long as it has working lights etc.

I just wanted to make sure. This trailer hasn't even been titled yet, and it willtake about 5 hours of so to get home. Just trying to prevent a court date.

you might want to obtain the trailer info now and get some insurance...it's really cheap. Costs me 20 a year for my open trailer and 400 for the toy hauler.
