Iowa Speeding Ticket

Since most states have different ways a lawyer can deal with a ticket, I'm curious as to what the normal process in Iowa is given that they do not have probation or driving school?

what was the ticket?

I might be able to offer advice if I know the violation.

At least it's not double the speed limit. I know in some states that doubling the speed limit or higher is attempted suicide and they send you to the looney bin.

Sorry, I have no advice.

Yup, my flight from Seattle to O'hare was majorly delayed, and there were no earlier flights available

It still took me till 4:30am to get to the track in Kansas.

I am imagining the conversation....
What do you think this is, a race track?

No but I am trying to get to one so I can race tomorrow.

That is hard core, and you were riding pretty darn well too!

Congrats on the bump!

It went more like...

Why is the number 101 on the front of the bike?

I'm taking the bike to a race track in Kansas tomorrow.

So this is a race bike then?

Yup

Does it have a speedo?

Actually, twice over is automatic reckless driving in most (if not all) states. Tyically loss of license and in some places impounding of your bike/car.

What'd they do, put up a road block?

I doubt a squad would pursue you at that speed.

I thought this was true in most state and I believe in Iowa too; twice over is considered automatic reckless driving!
