ticket "contest by mail" option

Anyone ever done that? Got a ticket from Chicago's finest yesterday for no front plate while the car was parked. On the ticket there is a "Contest by Mail" option. Will it work if I just send them pics of the violation fixed?

I would. I had a bogus parking ticket(chicago) and I never got anything in the mail after I sent them a complaint letter.

it is a loss - loss situation with the city. they will find a way to f you if they can.

i was in court today in markam (162th and kedize), i was told it was $135 for court fee and $100 for tinted windows. by the way, the f ing jurge was 57 minute late and there was over 100 people in a 50 people room.

can you tell that am still mad from 9 o clock this morning.

I have contested several 'city' tickets in the past. As long as the citation isn't determined to be a "prima facie" case, you would probably win out with a photo.

I've done it with the yellow paint on the curb and with those 'no parking from here to.." signs.

I contested a ticket in court a few days ago. Lost, and paid $210. Illinois is broke, it's open season on all of us.

i wished i had a cam to record the court houst.

just showing up to court is a 135 fine as a court fee.

the parking lot was full to the max.

i was the 26 person in line and all 25 people before me had a 135 fee for court and a fine.

so the courts making 13,500 dollars in that time period(3-5 hours). Not including any guilty penalties.

do you still get a free public defender for real charges?
