IL driver, WI ticket

I got my first ticket out of state for speeding in Wisconsin when i was going up to Corse. how does that work if i just pay the ticket? will WI report it to IL for my driving record?

Get ready to bend over and spread em. There's a group on here that's quite experienced in the WI traffic law judicial system.

IL/WI does share traffic convictions.

Call the number on the ticket and ask to speak to the hearing officer, you should be able to plead to a non moving violation and pay the fine.

Yes, this. Depending on where/who gave you the ticket. If it was Mil. Co. you're good, and can call or go to the court date, but if it was a state trooper you're screwed.

No, you don't. Also, yes it goes on your record. If you go to the hearing you can get it plead down to non-moving as another poster said but it's still expensive as fuck.

Yes. There is no supervision in WI. But if you call, you should be able to get the speed or the fine reduced. Maybe by $25. Did you ask for a written warning? Always ask for one of those. Worth a try.
