List of Illinois red light & speed cameras

Map of red light camera locations:

http://www.photoenforced.com/chicago.html

Go back to main page to generate list by Town and intersection.

This seems like a good list! All the lights that I knew about are on here. The fines are wrong though: some are actually more than $100 ... some will rape you at $250!

Reference this before planning any ride routes to avoid them if possible.

edit - that's already obsolete. I know of some that aren't listed on there.

We're fooked, traffic enforcement cameras everywhere. Don't stop a couple inches past the line, it's still a ticket.

I don't run the site, I don't know how it's updated. But I do think there's a portal in there to report a red light camera somewhere, and then they'll add it to the list. In fact, if you look at the full list, you'll see some locations added multiple times, meaning, they must have gotten leads from multiple people, and they slapped it in.

when I left my house to do the soldier dropoff, I was suprised to see how many popped up in my area.

I see so many people that don't do right turns on red now.

And I'm always going the speed limit into the intersections.

Yup.. when it was operational: Weber and Boughton in Bolingbrook. I did not come to a "FULL" stop for a right on red as technically defined by law, so I bent over and paid it.

Tonight, I was in W. Dundee waiting for the light. The stop camera operated in the other direction. The flash bulb went off 3 or 4 times as I sat there. No one broke the law. Maybe someone crept forward or whatever. They are supposed to throw out the bogus ones, but since they are operating for profit, they have every incentive to stick it to folks. We are losing more freedom everyday. IMO this is not what America is supposed to be like.

Redlight cameras seem to be popping up like dandelions here in Illinois ... yikes!

Is it this bad in any other states?

Indiana guys: what about over by you?

Wisconsin: You ticket Illinois people for distracted driving if we sneeze into the wrong brand of facial tissue, so I'm not gonna even ask hehe

Life's Journey Is Not To Arrive At The Grave Safely In A Well Preserved Body, But Rather To Skid In Sideways, Totally Worn Out, Shouting "HOLY SHIT... What A Ride!"

All you have to do is follow three simple rules. One, never under estimate your opponent (mentality). Expect the unexpected (could work out in your favor). Two, take it outside(or to a table). Never start anything inside the Bar unless it's absolutely necessary. And three, be nice.

Red light Camera bill in House Rules Committee!

A bill sponsored by Kenneth Dunkin, 5th district Representative, is in Rules committee now. It states that all intersections with red light cameras should have yellow lights lasting from 3 to 6 seconds. We know darn well Chicago has yellow lights at these intersections set for less than 3 seconds. Please write the Sponsor and the 5 Representatives on the Rules Committee for House Bill: HB3713 and encourage them to not delay this any longer and to quickly pass this to force Chicago to be decent about yellow light time settings.

Rosemont is adding Mannheim and Higgins today. Journal-Topics said it would be active today at 12:01am. Drove past on my way into work and they were still working on completing the install. At that time, cameras were installed for the east and northbound lanes.
