rolled a stop sign and got caught.

i'll leave all the anger out of it. all i need to know is if i can get supervision either over the phone or online because i can't make it to court on august 20th - i'll be back at school - and another moving violation is just about the last thing i can put on my record. any advice or should i just keep postponing the court date until christmas break and go over christmas vacation?

Obviously get it over the phone if you can. Otherwise, enter a plea of Not Guilty and let them offer you supervision (assuming you have a decent record)

They really just want your money.

Don't you have a mail-in copy? Mail it in with a guilty plea, maybe do the online traffic course to keep it off your record

Take it to the STREETS!

i thought you needed to do supervision in order to keep it off your record? that's the way i've always done it because i've gotten 2 or 3 tickets taken off and i've never been to traffic school...

Your options are posted on the envelope pick one and go from there

go time traveler style and go back in time, fuck his grandma, then shoot forward in time and then fuck his mom. Then return back to present state and call him a the product of two incest whores and hes your son and show video of you plowing the both members of his family. .

What county did you get the ticket in? If in DuPage, fill out page 7 on the little white pamphlet you were handed along with yout yellow copy of the citation. This form is for court supervision with a guilty plea.

At least in DuPage County, If you are under 21, you Must appear in court to get court supervision. If you are under 18, you must bring a parent with you and appear in court for court supervision.

If you dont take care of the citation within about 10 days after receiving the ticket....the circuit clerk's office will assume you want a court date and will mail you a court notice and then you must appear in court anyway.

If it is in Cook County....follow the envelope instructions.

In Cook from my own experience you need to go to court to get supervision - that or have a lawyer deal with it on your behalf. FWIW traffic school also keeps it off your record, but getting supervision is ultimately better as it still gives you two traffic school options left to burn before ticket hit your record.

I wish they would get rid of driving records, court and supervisions etc. If this is all just about the money, lets act like it and just pay the fines and be done. Drop the safety pretense already IL, call it and treat it like the road tax that it is.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
