Advice on a ticket...first timer

Yesterday I got popped and ended with a citation for 38 in a 30. The officer wrote that I was in a car when in actuality I was on my scooter.

My question is, can I get it dropped due to that technicality? Apparently I work with former defense attorneys who say it can and some say it can't.

I'm thinking about lawyering up. But wanted to know if this is something I could take care of.

Thanx in advance, Marcus

Jeez... really? For 8 over?

Hopefully they'll throw it out since he filled out the ticket wrong. This happened to some case when I was waiting to pay for my ticket... the cop was really red faced.

How much will the lawyer be? About $600 plus? How much will the ticket be? About $200 tops? Plead guilty and take supervision.

That is screwed up only 8 over! Lawyer will def cost you more and not worth it, but not sure if you can get off because of the mis-writing of vehicle.

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin', and hook up with them later!!

Do you have some experience with getting tickets?

Everything on the ticket is for my bike, but instead of checking motorcycle he had checked passenger vehicle.

I was planning on taking pics to court of my bike and my truck to try and clear it up. Are errors like that cause for dismissal?

It's 120 in Kane County of supervision, but a clean record has kept me from a ticket several times

I doubt the judge would dismiss it especially now with the economy being the way that it is. They are ticketing everyone for every little thing to generate revenue for the village. Case in point, you got nabbed for going 8 over in a scooter for fucks sake.

Seriously though i would tell the judge that the POS scooter you have must have a speedo that is off by a couple of mph and see if he lets u off. Tell him its a knock off chinese cheapo scooter.

Just go to court and plead guilty and get supervision. You wont win.
