--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I need a "Paddock Girl"(details below) for a motorcycle trackday at: Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, AL. Track website: www.barbermotorsports.com

Date and time of need: Saturday, October 23rd from 8:00am-5:00pm

I need someone to assist me with the below list when I come off the track:

* Provide shade with an umbrella
* Hand me Drinks and Towels
* Assist me in putting on Tire warmers (very easy)
* Be in Good Spirits and photogenic

Easy enough right. I will be very tired each time I come off the track which is why I need help with just simple tasks.

I will race 20 mins of each hour from 9am to 5pm with a one hour lunch break. While I'm on the track, you can just chill in a chair under a canopy that I'll bring.

Pay: $100 for the day. I'll pay $50 when you arrive at 8am (need to be on time) and another $50 at 5pm.

Let me know if you are interested

Thanks,
Ryan

i want to drink, but only to kill a certain few brain cells and i don't care how many i have to take out to get to them.

Hmm, Except for the girl part, I meet all the qualifications. I wonder if he'll pay gas money to get there and back, too.

He's prolly riding in B, so I can ride while he's out there as well.

Technically, he put paddock girl in quotes and then referenced below for definition, where he did not specify the gender requirement. Go for it.

LOL!!! I think when someone's not in the bike or track world, it's hard for them to comprehend a track day. They know you are going to be on a RACETRACK, so they automatically assume RACE. Trust me, I get this EVERY SINGLE TIME I do a track day. No matter how many times you try to explain it to them, some people just don't get it. The first thing they say to me when I get back to work is "Did you win????" After so many times of saying it's not a race it's a trackday, I just started answering, "nope, not this time"

Happened again on Tuesday when I got back from Alabama!
"Did you win any trophies or money???"

You need to say that you did win and than give them a 15 minute long play by play of the day's events.

This is exactly what I do for every race I enter, whether it be a MX race, MTB race or even the Shamrock Shuffle. I say "yep, won by a pretty good margin too".

You give great write ups, makes you feel like you are there. When you do well, especially on the MX course, you express it so well that makes me want to play in the dirt more. And than you describe how you dumped or killed the bike and had to kick it x number of times and then I remember why I am not out there more.

You can't really fault track day riders for calling it racing. In their own mind it certainly is... They are quite high in the evolutionary ladder anyway - typically sport bike riders (as opposed to HD cruisers) and the track day people are smart enough to have taken it from the street to the track.

Most racers come thru the track day ranks - I certainly did 5 years ago....
