Lay Off Letter

I did a quick search and didn't see this:

Dear Employees:

As the CEO of this organization, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barrack Obama is our President and that our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way. To compensate for these increases, our prices would have to increase by about 10%. But since we cannot increase our prices right now due to the dismal state of the economy, we will have to lay off sixty of our employees instead. This has really been bothering me since I believe we are family here and I didn’t know how to choose who would have to go.

So, this is what I did. I walked through our parking lots and found sixty “Obama” bumper stickers on our employees’ cars and have decided these folks will be the ones to let go. I can’t think of a more fair way to approach this problem. They voted for change…….I gave it to them.

I will see the rest of you at the annual company picnic.

hilarious. However not based on fact. Since Obama has been in power, Corporate profits have increased to 1950's levels and both government size and cost have shrunk.

I hope that Freaky Mormon Twit Romney doesn't get in. Obama has serious flaws but he's been on the job 4 yrs and has been far better than many previous presidents - Bush, Carter spring to mind.

Yep Obama sucks. People need to to rely less on government and practice more personal responsibility. Was more patriotic a few years back when our soldiers had to buy their own body armor because the government couldn't supply it. Now the government just gives them body armor in combat zones like a commie would do. Obama is destroying the very idea of personal responsibility with his Marxism

This thing based on facts or the same old scare tactics used in 08?

He'll raise taxes.
He's a Moslem.
His cabinet will consist of Jackson, Al Sharpton and Rev Wright.
He'll open the flood gates for reparations to blacks.

It's based on uncertainty, as not even Barry knows what the heck is going on with this country of ours. He does a horrible job pretending as well.

President doesn't have a magic wand to fix the economy. Otherwise, we'd be living in a communist society.

Don't forget that it was market deregulation that Republicans generally rave about that led to this mess. Not that Dems don't have blood on their hands.

This economy was fucked beyond all recognition over the past years under Clinton and Bush. Ain't gonna be fixed over a relatively short duration. And remember that most of the developed countries are just as screwed if not worse.

It's probably too much to ask from Americans to look beyond the border.. knowing that our minds are filled with Kardashians and twinkies.

This hateful partisan politics is fodder for the masses who think they have intelligence by listening to Limbaugh and Hannity.

You better be nice to America or we will bring democracy to your country.

Agreed. I also think that hate speech spewed from partisan politics is another way to keep us divided, and keep us from talking about real issues. I find it really hard to believe that Americans wants are so different. I think our wants are all pretty much the same, where we differ is how to get them.

Obama and the economy per CNN by the numbers.

http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2012/...economy/2.html

Now I'll sit back and wait for the peanut gallery to chime in.

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.

Another definition of Irony.

The Police force is a rather good example of Socialism in action isn't it?
Love it or hate it - I am not debating its worthiness merely how it is funded. By definition Police, Fire, and Public Schools are Socialist systems.

No .... not really.

I thought that "Socialist" tag applied to governments that ran endeavors ( business ) that resulted in a profit. ( government owned business )

( The Governments investment in GM for example )

I do not believe it applies to necessary cost programs like Fire / police / garbage etc. ( government run services )

Tom I have never heard that definition of Socialism before. I realize the actual definition of the word differs from the standard understood definitions (both the educated and the uneducated ones) That said I have always heard programs such as roads/schools/libraries etc labeled as socialist practices - which in and of itself isn't bad. Our govt is a mix of a different systems and that's not such a bad thing... Actually it is quite the good thing (providing we take the good aspects of the systems, right?)
