New to the place

Hi everyone,
Just got my first bike. 90 ex500. Nothing special but it runs like a TOP! Pretty much stock. Looking forward to the summer and meeting new people and learning how to ride well. I took the MSF course 8 years back when I was 21 and never got a bike until now.

I feel the bike I have is a great starter bike and after awhile I look forward to getting a cbr600 or something of that nature. I like the wider stance of it.

90 ex500 (Sold)
02 F4i (Sold)
92 F2 (Sold)
04 600RR (Sold)
01 ex500 (Sold)
93 vulcan 150 (Sold)

wide stance? he he

in 2 weeks when you're bored with the 500 get an sv650, much easier to handle than a 600, which is usually built as a race class bike moreso than for street use

He didnt say it started, just that it runs like a top. Tops dont use gas.

good luck selling that thing,, most newbies dont buy 20+ yr old projects, and anyone with experiance and more than 20$ in his pocket wouldnt ride an old EX, but it seems like you are getting a good learning experiance with the EX both riding and fixing it,,

Hey "Gamble",

The best part about CLSB is the welcoming feeling you get in your introduction thread.

Well it did, until the starter clutch took a crap. lol. Up until then it ran perfect!
I've also been riding my brothers cbr600 f2 and I love how wide the bike is.
And for fun I have been riding my other brothers 98 ex250 while mine is down.

I should have mine back up and running next week.

EDIT: WTF I can't even quote you with the link in your post until I have 15. wow.

Don't go around telling this to too many people. Uncle Steve explained to me that riding a 250 is like doing a fat chick - It may be fun for a little while but not really something you want to brag about
