Track Help

Hello everybody, I'm new to the site and new to the sportbike world. I've been itching to do my first trackday, but none of my friends are into that. Do you all ever plan any events at the track?

Everyone here is more than happy to show you the ropes. Most will allow you to pit with them so you can really learn all the fun things at the track (like getting out of your leathers when you're soaked in sweat and it's 95* out).

Hey I just need a V-Twin that can beat an HMC prepped RC8-Race.... I think a bike that can do 16s at BHF should be good enough, if you can make yourself big enough that he gets no chance to use the electronic controlled and superb setup 180+HP ...

Here is a advice from someone that just talked to his mechanic....

NEVER EVER PUT A DUCATI ON A TRACK AND EXPECT IT TO ACTUALLY DO WHAT A BIKE SHOULD DO!!!!!

Buy and use any other bike but not a Starbucks edition Ducati... they are junk and just way to expensive... I poured about 35k in mine over the last 3,5 years... maybe now even more if they don't honor my warranty, which I will go and sue them for if it is the case....

ok rant over...

Thanks for all the great advice guys, I really appreicate it. I think I would be biting off more than I could chew without some help. I was planning on picking up a second bike to track purposes. At least for starting out.

@Germany, I'm kinda surpised to hear you say that about the Ducati. I kinda figured that's what it was designed for. I have a good friend who relocated to Greece. Shes up at the track with her 848 every chance she gets. I'm not doubting you, I'm just surprised. But I am considering another bike for starting out. I would hate for anything to happen to my Starbucks decals.
