Red and black 2011 HONDA CBR 600RR Stolen today

Hi Everybody,

I'm a new rider, who purchased a new bike and have been riding for only 4 months. Today, my bike was stolen. It's a red and black 2011 Honda CBR 600RR with about 2000 miles on it. LIC/CV 2869. If anyone sees it, please please please call 911 and my cell phone 847-354-2101. It has a Jardine pipe on it, Frame Sliders, a modulator, and tinted windshield. I would appreciate any help with this. :-(

I agree ... seems much more rampant this year.

I'm so sorry to hear about this.

Always seems interesting that there's never anyone around to witness this stuff happening.

This is just out of control.

Becky: [to Dante] OK, I'm only telling you this because we're friends, but sometimes, in the heat of the moment, it's forgivable to go ass-to-mouth.
Randal: [chuckling] Ha! I knew it.

I really hope you didn't have that thing parked on the street. People will steal your scooter if you park it in/around Chicago, not to mention we're talking about a new 2011 CBR

Best of luck, hoping its some joyriders

Pics of the bike, identifiable scratches, dings, etc... VIN #?

Watch craigslist and ebay for some parts that could have come off your bike.

Sorry to hear dude, hopefully you had full insurance.

Stolen bike :(

Hi Everybody,

I'm a new rider, who purchased a new bike and have been riding for only 4 months. Today, my bike was stolen. It's a red and black 2011 Honda CBR 600RR with about 2000 miles on it. LIC/CV 2869. If anyone sees it, please please please call 911 and my cell phone 847-354-2101.

It was stolen from the apartment buildings on Milwaukee in Niles, IL, right across from Mary Hill Cemetery. The bike was parked in between the buildings and hidden out of view with a cover on it. It was taken during broad daylight Sunday 07/22/12 from 1-4PM.

It has never been dropped. No scratches.

It has a Jardine exhaust pipe on it, Frame Sliders, a modulator, and tinted windshield. I would appreciate any help with this. :-(

That really sucks your bike was stolen. Not to be negative, but I hope you had insurance on it; even if it is recovered it might not be in any condition where you'd want it back.

Good luck, and I hope you get back on 2 wheels soon.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

WOW! So sorry to hear that especially you being a new rider. Sucks it had to start this way. I live around the Niles area. I also ride a lot and will keep an eye out for it. What's the intersection by the cemetery? Is that by Pita Inn?

Bummer. Had mine taken a few years back. Took 2 months to get my insurance money for it. Had a wheel lock on it, they just picked that bitch up and drove away. Did you have it locked? "Hiding" doesn't always help. Bikes make noise so someone will watch you drive it in and out of wherever you keep it. If it was stolen in board daylight, I assume the thief knew your routine and might have even known you.

I got a tip that it potentially might have been sold to a guy in Joliet. It was originally in Addison and now Joliet. I am working with the Police to find it, but I want the underground to look for me too. I wonder how the theives would feel if something valuable to them was taken from them. The biggest identifier on the bike is the Jardine pipe and the modulator, which makes the headlights blink during the day, so I hope the idiot drives it during the day and gets pulled over.

Good point. OP please let us know if you recover the vehicle. We don't want to beat YOU into the ground by mistake.
