Talking Just got a 1990 Kawasaki gpx 600r

Alright, so i just got my third bike, and not really impressed by the bike, but i am impressed by the price i got it for which is $275. This bike is used and abused and completely naked. Speedo says 33k miles, last owner claims the motor was rebuilt with around 2000 miles on it. she does start and got engaged into first gear and is REALLY LOUD. Looking to figure out what I can do with this just for fun, wouldnt mind swapping in a spring so doesnt sag as much. Does anybody know what spring would fit? and also I am looking for 4-1 exhaust. If anyone knows where I can get those would be awesome. Looked on ebay and couldnt find much really...my earlier bikes i just cafe'd so not to sure about sports bikes.
If anyone can help with info itd be much appreciated!

Hey welcome to the club.

A few things: its a ZX600R (which is a ninja)

You'll need air filters on those carbs right away and most likely a rejet (which is a job for a pro, not an amateur).
Also, the exhaust muffler might need to be replaced or repacked (cant tell just from the photo alone).

There's some websites out there for ninjas and they can point you in the correct direction for suitable replacement springs/shocks.

Kawasaki motors are pretty strong and the first thing I'd do is get a tuneup and take it from there.

good luck!

haha thanks alot man, yea i was looking around for the name of the bike, all the kid said was is that it was a ninja, and yes im going to get individual filters for the bike off ebay, for now rags are going to be put in tonight. Rejet is a must, will do in the spring, the exhaust is a homemade straightpipe i believe with a leak. looking for a 4-1. wondering if a vance and hines 750 will fit on here??

thanks!
