Hello

Wife and I just moved to Naperville from SoCal.

I've been riding for ~12 years. Finally moved from hypersports to a VFR and couldn't be happier. I also bought a dual-sport (GasGas FSE450) about two years ago. Wife also rides. At the moment, she has a 2009 Ninja 250 since I totaled her 2005 636. Thankfully, we simply turned it into my trackbike.

Important part:

I am looking for a State Farm agent who also rides. It'd be great if he/she is a newer agent and could use the business. I'd prefer that the office is located in the Naperville area, but nearby is fine as well.

Thank you and I look forward to meeting and riding with y'all.

Welcome to the board! Pete's a good guy. Check him out. SF rates in IL are decent compared to some other co's.

Where in SoCal? I spend a lot of time in the LA area for work. Kept a bike out there for a while, but it's now gone. Just have bikes here in Chicago now.

Thank you.

We lived in Rancho Cucamonga. To anyone familiar with the area, that's most certainly not LA, but it's easier to type "LA area" so people have a point of reference to begin with.

I left my VFR out there for my friends to enjoy, but plan on buying a one-way flight and riding it back once the winter weather passes.

Ah, nice and close to Auto Club in Fontana. Ever do any track days at Fontana?

I usually stay in Pasadena with friends when I'm out there. Right on the LA border, and close to my customers in the Valley and Hollywood. Our office is in Northridge, and that makes it a non-congested commute if I have to head in. I had the 954 out there for more than a year. Shipped it back (it was a matter of time/money tradeoff.) although I have ridden from here to LA and back in the past (on a different bike).

Well you mentioned "trackbike" so you will be happy to know that there are lots of tracks within a few hours of here......Illinois pretty much sucks, but its centrally located to many tracks. Enjoy!

I did Fontana (infield course, not AMA) once. It was fun, but riding on the track has lost its luster for me. I just like to get out on the VFR and cruise now.

I am very much looking forward to riding the VFR here from LA.

CA isn't home. IL isn't either, but it's a lot closer and the people are much more representative of those I prefer to be surrounded by.

Flat Four?? Thread?? Link??

I may or may not take up Sumo-ing. If I do, it won't be for a little while.

I'm not much of a desert person.....unless it's dirtbiking or 4wheeling.

Let me know where the tracks are and I'll meet you guys there to watch/pit bitch if nothing else.
