Just joined, looking to get bike.

Hi everyone I just join CLSB forums, I recently passed my MSF class last weekend so now I'm just waiting to get my certificate in the mail and then get the 'M' on my license. I've been looking at sport bikes to buy online and have decided I'm going to get a 2009 Ninja 250(gotta start safe). I know there is one I'm really intrested in getting at Arlington Motorsports for around $3,899. Has anyone used Arlington Motorsports before becuase the price seems a little high?

It does seem like a high asking price so I was wondering if anyone had bought bikes from Arlington Motorsports before and if they are easy to negotiate with. They say it's in great condition with only 4000 miles but I plan on bringing my Uncle with to check it out and he's been working on bikes pretty much his whole life.

Honestly $2800-3200 is fair.

Might be a hair higher because of the time of the year, but you have to factor in insurance, gear, titles/plates/tax, etc as well

Thanks a lot for all the input, I probably go there with around $3000 and see if they are willing to negotiate.

Hey there. I, too, am new to this site! I'm still living in Portland, OR, but moving to Chicago in August for school (going for a PsyD in Clinical Psych, with a specialization in Military and Trauma therapy at Adler). So hi all!

Now, in response to your post bayernMfan5, my dad bought a 2009 250 Ninja for the track, but he's thinking it just doesn't have enough juice. He'll probably end up selling it IOT find a 500 or something similar. If you are interested, hit me up and I can give you details. It's got less than 500 miles on it. AND I would be willing, and able, to bring it to you in August if you're willing to wait...

Congrats on passing MSF!
I was in your shoes weeks ago. Listen to the guys here and buy the bike from private owner, save the cash and use it for safty gear (its not cheap).

Just to give you an idea i paid 2600 for my 08 Ninja 250, with new chain, air filter and tires. Good luck and ride safe!
