Bought a 2009 Street Triple in Countryside

Last Monday on the 4th of April I bought a 2009 Triumph Street Triple R from the BMW Motorcycle dealer in Countryside.

The chain guard has a sticker with this forum address on it and I was just trying to see if the previous owner is on here.

I thought it would be cool to touch base and also get more info on what all was done to it.

Hi everyone!

EDIT - I guess I should mention that it's grey.

Welcome. I live in Oak Lawn. Well at least for a few more hours since I just sold my house. Post some pics of the bike I am sure we can find the owner. I am pretty sure I know who it is. Pat fitz

hey I just messaged Pat on Facebook. Its his old bike but he sold it years ago via a private sale. The guy who bought it must have traded it in.

When he traded it in did it already have the Arrows and levers and sliders?

First of all welcome. Second of all - how fun is it to see a picture of your new bike being launched out of a loading dock?!

Never abused. Adult ridden!

And Tony's bike (under200) was in great shape. Nice pickup!

Yeah, if the bike I bought is under200's, there wasn't a mark on the thing. 9,400ish miles and all I could find was a mark on the passenger seat but I really had to look for it.

The baffles on the Arrow were at one time removed I'm guessing since the tack welds were already gone and I took the baffles out again.

Has the Arrow. ASV levers. Rizoma sliders. That's all I noticed. I think the tires might be original though unless I'm looking at the date code wrong.

I'm really enjoying it so far.

Nice Score - Tony always took great care of his bikes - Still has a Bonnie I think

Since I got my speed 3 I find myself doing stupid things I normally don't do on a motorcycle and have an award to prove it.

it's not the fall that kills you, it's that sudden stop

I picked up that 955i Speed in November, just started riding it over the past few weeks. I had been on HDs since 2012 and holy cow have my riding skills dulled. I feel wildly outclassed by that bike and doing those "stupid things" comes so easily. It's surprising how having 6 months of no riding can compromise things.

Speed Triple

Love all the Triumphs though, the Street Triple is great. Was riding an '04 Bonneville yesterday...really like the new Bonnevilles too!

...and welcome

I don't think I'll ever have an honest need for a Speed, at least not around here. I am intrigued by the 800s though.

Up to 1200s as well. The new 800s can be had for what, like $7200...and get 70+ MPG! Neato.
