Fooking Bulls!

Why can't they trade for a good player? Dealing Salmons to Milwaukee for two scrubs? C'mon, I thought they were actually interested in McGrady. Bullshitters. They don't want to get anywhere this season do they?

People take these things too seriously!

Expiring contracts is what they wanted.

McGrady has had a giant fork sticking out of his back for about four years now

They need to get someone this season. Look at what happened before, Gasol, Kobe, all bullshit about getting them. Look at them now. The Bulls talk shit and never throw down. They will blah blah about Wade, Bosh and who knows else and won't get anybody.

Chicago still has a basketball team?

If Paxson and Foreman keep running the Bulls the way they have been even Rose will leave ASAP. Much like the Bears, the Bulls are stuck relying on past success instead of re-tooling the whole organization and starting over like the Blackhawks did (even though that was induced by the owner's death).

Dude, we don't want TMac... Expiring contracts are gold, we should have enough cap space to sign 2 big free agents next year. Highly unlikely we get Lebron or D-Wade, but Joe Johnson and maybe a big man (Dirk?).

I think we shoulda pulled of some deal with Kirk, Tyrus, some picks, for Amare. We need a dominant big man and a low post scorer. Woulda been nice to get Bosh too.

They're positioning the books to get money cleared for a big name(s) free agent. As they were constructed, they were a first round out anyway. They'd be stuck in basketball hell of 5-8th seed if they don't start clearing the books and go for a top tier player.

McGrady was never going to come to the Bulls to actually play basketball.

Thomas is poison and he sucks. Weakside blocks into the 10th row are fun to watch but he's not good for much else. Salmons was just a "guy." not great, not sucky.

I'd like Chris Bosh and Rudy Gay. They still have to find a taker for Deng, Hinrich, and Miller though.

Thomas is gone. To Bobcats for Acie Law and Flip Murray and a 10 spot or higher 1st round pick.

I gave up my season Tix to another guy - I can buy back in next year if I want but really, I just went to watch the teams they play....

I'd like to see us get Joe Johnson and Chris Bosh.

Noah, Rose, Bosh, Johnson, Deng!

If not, maybe snag Dirk. Not sure we could pull off getting Bosh and Johnson while still keeping Hinrich. Have Hinrich, Gibson, Miller on the bench.

Would be sickkkkkkk though if we could snag D-Wade

Unless something gets announced as happening before the deadline passed, the Bulls only cleared enough room for one max free agent and a second tier free agent. They can still do something after the season ends though. Johnson, Bosh, Amar'e, Wade, James, Boozer will all be max.

David Lee and Rudy Gay won't be on that level. The Grizzlies traded for Ronnie Brewer, so Gay is probably leaving.

I like Rudy Gay, he is younger than Joe Johnson and hasn't peaked yet like Johnson has. He will also be cheaper. Gay isn't an everyday 2
though.

Deng is a pile of soft rubbish.

What I'd like to see:
1 Rose
2 free agent
3 Gay
4 Bosh
5 Noah

I guess they held on to Miller because Noah isn't ready yet from his injury. And as much as I liked Thomas exciting plays he was too much trouble. But we still got crap for him.

The Bulls got expiring contracts and a 1st round draft pick for Thomas. I'd say the Bobcats got fleeced. Thomas is garbage.

I agree, we literally stole from the Bobcats.

I agree with your analysis Zero. Deng plays his slasher role well though, he is a little soft I have to agree.

I'd like a super mega mega super star like Wade or James, but it's unlikely they will leave their respective teams

name some reasons why Wade wouldn't leave Miami for Chicago?
there's the weather and........?

the question is, do you really want to sign Dwayne Wade to a max deal given the financial climate of the league. How many peak years does he have left? 2 or 3? he'll be one of those players that falls off really fast due to his style of play. he doesn't exactly have a great jumper to fall back on once his legs go.

^ Coming home isn't always all it's cracked up to be. He has a divorce going on and a few other legal or personal issues up here from what I heard. He's the King of South Beach right now. Why leave that? Miami also has room to resign Wade and sign a max free agent.

Wade doesn't have a horrible jumper. I'd say better than average. It has improved. But yes, his game is taking it to the hole. He takes a lot of abuse. Rose is crafting a similar scoring game. Wade will still be in his prime for the length of his next contract though (barring major injury).

The Bulls need an inside scoring presence. Bosh is the best available.

Joe Johnson is already 29 (in June) and will want a 5-6 year backloaded deal at max money that could become an albatross. Something to think about.

I'm just worried that the Bulls will clear all of this space and the max guys either go to other teams who cleared space (there are more teams with cleared space than there are max guys), or the max guys resign with their current teams. It'll be another Eddie Robinson type situation. There is still draft day- the other big deal day. This can be the biggest free agent class in the history of the NBA. Hopefully they can clear room for a second max guy. Rose's unselfishness can be a big factor in attracting guys.

All Deng does is shoot his stupid 15 footers. He can't put the ball on the floor, defend, or rebound. He's soft overpaid deadweight. I wouldn't want him starting.

I believe the Heat average attendance is exactly in the middle of the NBA after being top 10 for a while (Championship helps). According to Forbes, they're the 12th highest valued team as of 12/2009. Admittedly, I don't care about attendance figures or team values and had to look it up. All I know is they can pay Wade and a max player (thus, their pursuit of Bosh/Amar'e) to entice Wade to stay. The weather and women are beautiful and he has a few headaches up here.

I'm not saying he doesn't want to come, I'm just saying I can see a few reasons why he wouldn't. I'd love to see him come.
