Really?

It already costs around $400 bucks to bring my family to the game and get just "decent" seats......

Everyone needs a healthy way to relax, mine Church, and two wheels, a stretch of winding road, and a pipe loud enough to give me headaches and make squirrels explode. (Fixed curtousey of PWRMAD)

Nothing is impossible the second we say ill try your already admiting you can be defeated, and the second you say i cant or its to hard youve already failed.

It's getting hard to justify buying tickets for sporting events these days. Same goes for the rediculously inflated concert ticket prices.

For 30 or 50 bones, sure. Let's go see some shit. For $100 or more. Not gonna happen. I can have way more fun for alot less $$ doing something else.

Watching on TV at a bar with other fans is much more appealing to me that spending 100+ dollars and finding parking, ect ...

I remember 3-4 seasons ago when the Hawks had to give away tickets to even get anyone to come to games. I still remember the promo code that brought up $1 tickets... Were they losing money then?

I can understand the situation, but I'm in the same boat...they won't get ticket money from me as I can't afford the 100+ a tick for nosebleeds. TV with buddies and beers is just as fulfilling most of the time, and for the others times, just add more beer.

Corporate funds are eating up all the good seats. And they have deep pockets to make it happen if they want to schmooz the next CEO of "insert potential big customer here". $1000 per person is an easy ROI on $75-$200 base seats when your profits exceed that in millions.

The only thing I end up dropping tons of cash on any more is Vikings games. I need to find a Chicago based company who has Vikings fans as owners/execs so I can go to that ONE GAME A YEAR here at Soldier field without having to save the entire year to attend.

Just FYI the NHL gets half of all ticket sales during the playoffs and the Blackhawks get the other. Also most of the 300 level tickets have been $15 for many many years. I have a feeling they will be jacked up to $40 next year. You have to remember the Blackhawks are spending alot of money in other things like advertising and other BS. They have been losing money for alot of years not and pulling money from other parts of the Wirtz businesses.

+1 Spend a hundred on shit for a party and watch it on the big screen, WAY better time IMO! Going to games is actual not near as much fun for me anymore cuz I'm constantly pissy about how much money I'm spending the whole time.
