GREAT card tomorrow. And I agree, I think Lesnar is going to go through Valasquez like a frickin' hurricane. Cain is really good, technically sound and *could* beat Brock given the right situation, but I just think he's going to get overwhelmed.

Can't wait to see the Shields fight too.

Man, for such a great card on paper those were some pretty lackluster fights....for a guy that hasn't won in the Octagon in like 4 years Tito talks quite a big game. Did you guys hear what he said pre-fight? ...that he'll knock Hammel out because deaf people have soft heads. What!?

Jake Shields = most boring high level fighter ever.

He can grapple and nothing else. No sub skills, no wrestling, no stand up game, no gas in the tank. He just knows how to roll well.

Yep...I saw him live at the Strikeforce event in Hoffman Estates (when Fedor knocked Rodgers out). He successfully defended his title, to a reign of boos from the whole crowd. Can't wait until he meets a guy that he can't take down...despite the fact that I thought Kampman won that fight anyways.

^^I never order pay-per-view

...actually, the real-time uploads (single fights) were coming from South Korea...it sounded like 3 dudes in a hotel room broadcasting over a PPV feed. Hilarious. ..and apparently, there's no word in Korean for "Takedown"

The Lesnar fight was the American feed though.

Yeah, I did. But Henderson was a shell of his normal self. He was whooping Shields ass until he started to gas out.

true, Dan is getting old, and hardly even uses his wrestling anymore, but Shields dominated him for four rounds after surviving the first. Henderson was bigger and supposedly the much better wrestler, and Jake took him down and passed guard at will. Shields definitely isn't the most dynamic fighter, but I think he'll be a tough fight for anyone at 170 or 185. might be slow boring fights, but what can you do?

Oh yeah, there's no doubt that Shields is a phenomenal grappler. His single leg is probably the best in the biz. I'm not doubting or questioning his ability, he's just boring as shit to watch. Plus, he's a dirty hippie.

Shields isn't too much different that GSP in his last two fights.

I hope Georges won't be afraid to keep it standing against Koschek though...
I'd like to see Kos get KTFO

Oh yeah, Kos is going to get destroyed in December. I actually started to like him over the past few years, but that's all out the window now. It's one thing to be a dickhead, but this guy acts like a bully in grade school. Just lame.

sport science did a thing on velasquez. his punch was measured to be 2230lbs of force. when they did james toney he measured in at 1300.

pretty interesting... http://www.mmascraps.com/2010/10/spo...-punching.html

+1 GSP I just wonder how he will finish him? Hopefully it's something dramatic and humiliating.

However it's done, it will be done with class...which I think will be so much more humiliating to Koscheck.

Yeah

That was during the prelims. I was thinking "what the hell are you fools booing about, this fight is great!"

On a side note, good shit from Court McGee. That dude looks good, and Jensen is legit.

Dana just announced that they're merging the WEC with UFC

Jose Aldo = pound for pound #1 ?

the merger also will make for some interesting fights at 155!

Whoa whoa whoa...does that mean featherweight and bantamweight bouts on the big cards? Or will WEC stay a separate entity??

Aldo is a beast. You know that Jonathon Brookins (on TUF) gave him a decent run when he fought him?
