I would like to declare...

the chicago bulls are for real. Ever since Rose came back from the Olympics and Boozer join the fun in November (I think it was), they have looked better than the dynasty from the 90s.

Inside, outside, mid court jump shot, the bulls have it covered. Couple of weeks ago they beat two teams back to back ( i think it was back to back) by forty fricken points! Forty fricken points!

Seriously, has Derick ever been called for a charge? That guy is a slinky dink, not as much upper body, brute strength as Jordan, but faster legs for sure.

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

i dont think jordan was ever acused of being brute upper body strength before the baseball days. he was a pretty thin guy himself until he got a few years past 30.

but point taken.

rose is amazing for sure.

I haven't followed basketball since the days of Jordan but I have been starting to take notice of them again. They are the real deal.

Let's not start sucking each other's dicks quite yet.

Although they are playing well, so far this team has won exactly zero titles. After they've got some trophies on the wall, MAYBE they can be compared to the 90's Bulls.

A lot of credit goes to Thibs. We pretty much have first seed in the bag so that's a bonus. Anybody that has watched them regularly knows they are a legit title contender this year.

Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil,

+1. I don't think this team is anywhere near the quality of the 90s Bulls and I don't think NBA is comparable either. It has changed a lot in the past 10-15 years but I doubt the Bulls of today can compare to the 90s team.

That said, Rose is definitely one of the best all around players we've seen in a long time and if he keeps this up he'll be up there among the names like Kobe, etc.

Agreed. They're actually fun to watch again after 10+ years. Ever since Kukoc left the Bulls it was a pain to watch them compete. Now they have an all around good team that not only wins games but is fun to watch play. Coaching has been pretty damn good.

this Bulls team is good, they looked like world-beater's last night, but they're still inconsistent, especially on offense.

Ok I'm going to edit that lol Looks like the dynasty beat Utah in the playoffs by 42 lol so yeah premature to say they are dynasty caliber, I concede.

winning one game by 40 against a scrub team doesn't mean a hole lot, especially if they turn around and lose to that same team a couple of weeks later.

Jordan's Bulls were a fucking juggernaut, and that was back when the central division was pretty stacked. the central is the weakest division in the NBA now.

let's see if this team can get out of the 2nd round of the playoffs before we declare them a great team. I'm hopeful that they can at least make it to the east finals, but it's not going to be easy. we'll definitely get to see how tough Rose is, he'll be hitting the floor a lot in the playoffs.

I would say they are more inconsistent on defense. They have let many teams back in the game from double digit leads. Even last night the Celtics came back after halftime and took a 1 point lead. Boozer is defensively the weak link on the starting squad. Rose will always get his and no one can stop him right now.

And the dynasty years teams didn't blow all that many people out because phil was crafty with everyone minutes in the reg season saving them for the playoffs. Get a good lead and do just what was necessary to maintain.

im not saying they are unbeatable, but rose has definately stepped up and has the team going in the right direction....in terms of motivation, potential and just playing hard.

definitely agree, it's exciting times for bulls fans. Rose made a huge leap from last year. If he can continue to improve each year, become a more consistent shooter, and learn to control the game like Isiah did back in the day (distribute early, take over late in the game), the Bulls will be contenders for years to come.
