Lions Suh. Does the NFL really need players like this?

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d...uct-vs-packers

Quite honestly players like this need to get booted OUT of the NFL. Its one thing to get in a pushing match with another player, its a whole other ball game ot bang the guys head into the ground three times and kick him on the ground AFTER the play is done.

I dont care who they are or what team they are on. Throw them out completely.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

The best part is his off the wall "reasoning" to his actions and how it is between "Him & The Man Upstairs"

Shame really as he does have talent

Agreed. I've played competitive sports my whole life, and lost my temper along with seeing other lose theirs, but he crossed the line between an adrenaline high athlete and a simple thug.

He's an asshole. If he said "I got caught up in the moment, lost my cool, shouldn't have happened" I would let it slide. He said that he lost his balance and that's why he stomped down With the history he has, if he can't man up and take responsibility, he's gotta go.

It's a owner, GM and coach thing at this point - He is going the way of Haynesworth now

Sidebar, I loved what Warren Sapp said about the Bucs picking up Haynesworth - "The day he signed is the day I stopped being a Buckeneer and became soley a Raider" - Ha - AWESOME

the comments where Lions fan attempt to defend him are just atrocious. He is a dirty player, he is the same guy that ripped Cutler's helmet off in the game against the Bears.

That team plays dirty, Matthew Stafford tried to hurt DJ Moore on the interception, Suh is a documented dirty player. Jim Schwartz is creating a team that accepts that. Remember what he did to Jim Harbaugh when the played the 49ers earlier this year?

If this was a one time incident, I might see it as being excusable... caught up in a moment type crap. But he's pulled shit like this HOW MANY TIMES now???

However, the cynic in me also is guessing that the NFL won't do shit about it. The league is horribly inconsistent with how they penalize players after various incidents.

Suh is a nut job. He is a great player. Maybe he has taken too many roids. He also has a coach that encourages this kind of behaviour out of the entire team. There were several near fight incidents in this game just like in thier game with the Bears. Reminds me of the packers under Forest Gregg.

It's one thing for a little shoving here and there after the play and some words, its another to repeatedly pull the crap this idiot pulls. He's an overgrown infant and is a danger to other players, ban him.

Reggie White would beg to differ, god rest his soul - So would Julius Peppers, Jerry Ball, Ed Jones, etc etc - Hell, even Michael Oher

On this occasion, you can clearly see that Suh was about to be pushed over backwards, that is what pissed him off. The lineman should have held up in that situation. That is why Suh pounded his helmet in the ground. The guy almost had his back broken and his knees blown out.

The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

The fact that he did it is apauling. The fact that he is caught on video doing it and then denies it. He defended himself when he ripped Cutler's helmet off.

He has been fined $42,000 already this year. He has met with the commisioner already this year to discuss why he was fined those fines. It appears to me that he doesn't understand that he is crossing a line.

IMO, a 1 game suspension and the promise that his suspension will double everytime he gets called for unneccessary roughness in the future. If he does it again, 2 games, after that 4 games, does it a 4th time 8 games, etc.

Jim Schwartz is a punk coach and the only way he will get it stopped is when it effects his team.

I can't believe any of you can defend him. He is a dirty player as simple as that. He gets pissed off because in the NFL people can actually block him unlike the free reign he had at Nebraska. He is not a professional so he lashes out like a little kid when things don't go his way.

His comment that he was 'sorry that he put himself in a position to be misinterpreted' was the stupidest statement I've heard from a professional athlete. There was no misinterpreting his actions; it's plain as day in 13 different angles in 720p.

I'm not defending him, just want to give a little food for thought. Since all of you have your panties in a wad about this guy, has anyone ever studied game film? From HS to college, to pro, you will see this behavior on just about every play. Just because he was an idiot and did it after the play was over and had the camera's on him, does not make him the only dirty player. So temper your whining, and be thankful that football hasn't been so pussified yet that it isn't even fun to watch.

Seriously, every day? He's not the only dirty player, but the childish excuses are what I have a problem with. I'm all for letting the big boys play, but there just isn't a place for this.

Pat I agree with you. If he's gonna be the big bad scary guy, he shouldn't try and bs his way out of his actions. There is one great fucking clip, I can't remember what team, but he runs down the qb and just pushes him to the ground. It was awesome, and he got fined for that one too LOL

I have to disagree with the comments that this kind of thing happens on every play.Suh doesn't even do it every play. He just happens to do it often enough that he gets caught. He seems to particularly like the I'm going to rip the QBs head off move. You know. The one like in the film clips or like the one where Cutler is already on his ass and he rips his helmet off. I believe in hard play. This guy crosses the line in every game. Dude is whacked.

I just realized, that was Suh in the Chrysler commercial from a few months ago.
