Nascar?

So am I the only fan on this board, or are there others?
If so speak up and who's your driver?

Mine of coarse is the Dale Jr.

Sorry but NASCAR just don't do it for me. Can't stand it. Boring. In deep with Formula 1 racing plus F3000. Formula 1 is the ultimate in auto racing.

I'm still a Mark Martin fan but can't stand to watch the TV coverage. It's horrible. If you need a cartoon bubble to identify a given car/driver then your not a fan. God that coverage BLOWS!

Havent followed Nascar as much as CART, and IRL. However, have found Robbie Gordon to be cool. He's one of a few drivers during the peak of the CART racing era that would stop and BS with you. Plus running both Nascar and Indy cars in a season has got to be admirable.

I watch it... its getting a little bit too clean imaged lately..
they monitor the scanners then complain when they catch a driver or crew chief is swearing ....

Short tracks are cool where they all beat and bang for real estate.

If I had to pick
Rusty, Jimmy Spencer, Mark Martin
Harvick, Little E, McMuray for the more recent bunch

Ryan Newman is the man. He must win it all in 04!

I'm still a DJ fan as well, but it's hard to get excited for him after last season. Hopefully his new crew cheif will straighten things out.

I don't like what they did with the points system for this year. 10 race playoffs and only 5 points for winning a race? The should give a lot more points for wins.

Rich? Did you say rich? A 'rich' Nascar driver means he might own a helicopter, a big house, and a few cars but a 'rich' F1 driver is RICH!! Michael Schumacher net worth as of October '02 was $750 million. That is freaking rich rich rich. -Plus the only true driver with last name Stewart was Jackie Stewart.

Schumi is a god!!! 6 F1 titles is awesome. I am a Schumi and Ferrari fan but I gotta cheer for Jaguar too. I work for HSBC and we put $35 million a year into F1 so I gotta give Jag some love too. I met the Director of F1 for HSBC at Indianapolis last year at the GP. My brother (also HSBC employee) and I got into the paddock and into the garage. I met Flavio Briatore, Ralph Firman (Jordan driver in '02), and some others. I got close up pics of Ralph Schumacher, Montoya, Raikkonen, & Villenueve. I am going to Montreal and Indianapolis GP this year. Can't wait.

I watched 2 open wheel races one at the milwaukee mile and one at road america... I couldn't even tell the car numbers as they were going by at milwaukee just a blur going by... and the coolest thing about the RA one was watching Michael Andretti overdrive turn 5 into the gravel 2x.(this was awhile ago)

I know they have faster cars but .. to me that doesn't make it better to watch.. If they bump around like the cars with fenders at that speed it gets ugly quick and the ambulances have to come out.

Although even nascar is fading away from this
I still like watched the good ol boy moonshiners go at it beating and banging the fenders on the short tracks...

Bristol Baby !!!!!!!!!!!

I don't hate F1, or IRL or CART, I just got into a mode that I usually am in with my brother. He loves them and gives me crap about NASCAR. I grew up watching CART, Rick Mears is my all time Favorite, but ever since that whole IRL, CART bullshit I lost interest.
