Is that 9 speed XTR? Might be intersted in that if it has less than 500 miles on it. What brand and model of tires are those?

the cog is a 8 speed
and its either XTR or XT

andshit i keep finding stuff, like a BRAND new spair set of mavic rims i bought with a set of smooth rolling small tread pattern tires and a XT rear 8 speed cog on it too with quick releases.
fuck i forgot i had these, also some mudder tires, and a set of racing raptors, those i think ill keep though.

i should go take an inventory, but i wont bother unless someone is looking for somthing.

so now i got 2 sets of 8 speed cogs, a few sets of tires i 70 road tires, and another mudders, set of rims, a few seats, crank, clipless 747 shimano peddles, and god knows what else.
i think i even got some 8 speed rear and front derailers around too.

front crank rings or rear cog rings?

shit i use to be into MTB BIG TIME at one point 2 bikes almost 7000.00 worth of equipment on the bikes and a HUNDO's in spare parts, what ever you do do not buy CT2 easton handle bars i thrown away 300.00 in those basterds for 3 handle bars when i needed them for racing with a local crew years back, stick to TI!

I can't use the 8 speed, but I'm interested in some tires and maybe the rims. Are those assembled wheels with spokes or just the rims?

I'm sad you don't mtb anymore. There's a handful of us on the board who go, and there's even a CLSB race team now (don't know if you saw the thread). The CLSB Squids finished in the top ten a couple weeks ago at a race in Palos. They do the shocker as they ride the trails!

ok let me get all this stuff onto the site, please bare with and READ the info, and i will try to answer all your questions,
slowass sounds like you need higher gearing.

find out what your smallest tooth count is for your smallest gear and higest gear on your rear cog, and your front biggest gear and the smallest gear so i can help you out.

also is your bike a 8 speed older set up?
if so good.

ok this pic here contains "and NO the bags do not come with them, those are for my 700.00 pair of crossmaz ceramic race rims"
anyway. these are some lower grade mavic rims " mavic X221" rims meant for v-breaks of any kind, what tires are on them are inverts 2 smooth rolling tires with some mild tread, also there is a shimano xt rear cog 11-30 tooth and quick disconnects.

i will sell complete or strip the tires or cog rims by themselfs on a fist come basis.

i dont know the prices of this stuff yet, but when ever they are i will save you an easy 40-50% off what they are new if i can!
so bar with on the prices, i am still working today also.

here is the pic of that stuff.

**EDIT ** here is a link to just the rims, http://xoomgear.com/mountainbike/rim...Mavic_X221/911
not even laced or including hubs or disconnects!

so the price on MY used rims, that are laced and including hubs and disconnects "but NOT the cog or tires included in this price"

**********************SOLD****************
(is: 50.00 bucks for the set, thats 25.00 each with laced and including hubs, and disconnects. "big savings)

the rear cog,
http://www.jensonusa.com/store/produ...00&sc=mr08&x=y

they are selling for 75 bucks for a 11-34 tooth that picture is NOT an XT thats a XTR on there site.
but my used maybe 70 miles on it rear cog is 30.00!!!

(*****************SOLD**************
TIRES that are in this pic, gimmie 25 bucks? is that a good price?
havent went shopping got tires in YEARS!..lol
)

sounds like we have a few pedal pushers among us. how bout a "post a pic of your bicycle" thread.

hey slowass, i think you might want to go more teeth on the crank rings and less teeth on your rear cassette if you feel like your spinning too much with road tires on your mountain bike.

i'm running an 11-34 xtr rear cassette, and a 24-34-46 xtr crank set on the hardtail and when i'm on 26 x 1.4 road tires the gearing works well.

hey ken you mentioned about some issues with the easton ct2 stuff. i'm a big fan of easton. using ec70 carbon which i think is the newer carbon design. got it on my mountain bike and my roadie. what are the probs you've encountered.

well its the CT2 easton bars i used a 3 and 5 deg bars when i use to be into this big time, some down hill and jumps and what not, the FUCK up thing was this was medium trail racing!

i broke one right then and there easton dealer was there i bought a new one, all went well, had to ship it in under there warranty crash protection 50% the price of a new one, which i thought was bullshit. THEN 2 weeks later i busted that one.

after i called and told them what happened they said to send them in and they will inspect them for full coverage so in the meantime i bought a 3rd!

well i get the call back, NOPE you crashed i said NO they just snapped on me 1 by the rasier and the other by the bar end, and am even using the profile design bar ends they suggested and even under torqued them! they said well we can do it under the crash 50% protection, i said shove them up your ass!

then 3 weeks later i broke the 3rd i have my TI with me put it back on and havent had a problem since, so i threw all 3 bars away around 300.00 in crap in the can.

damn, that sucks. sure sounds like they had some problems with the ct2 stuff. i hope i don't run into that problem with the carbon monkey lite on the mountain bike or the ec90 carbon drop bar on my roadie. the ec90 is brand spanking new, but my monkeylite is a couple of years old. i'll keep a watchful eye out for stress fractures now.
