I love Illini and I am glad they came back but Arizona lost that game more that Illini won it. How the heck do you lose when you are up by 15 with 5 minutes left in the game. Oh well off to St.Louis!!!!

That was an amazing game. They should have lost at least 2 or 3 times...but just kept comming back. I hate ot say it, but Arizona really F'd up and missed a golden opportunity. As much as I like ot see a Big Ten team suceed, I almost hated to see them lose.

Now... lets cheer on Wisconsin and MSU!!! I'd love to see a MSU/Illinois rematch for the finals. Go Spartans!!!

This whole year has been so amazing to me. After moving to TX it was impossible to get any Illini games on tv because everything's regional. This year I have been able to see the games because they've been #1.

When I was at U of I we used to sit in (what used to be) BW3 and watch all the games and I will never forget that feeling that you wanted your team to win, but deep down you knew the sweet 16 was about as far as they'd really go. You knew you'd have to face a loss sometime. So watching those games was so disappointing sometimes.

But last night, I sat in our new BWW, and the Illini game was on EVERY screen. There was something very surreal about it-- there were actually people there in orange and blue. And for a while it SUCKED because we played so shitty most of the game and I was starting to get that old feeling of "oh well, this is as far as we go this year..."

But the end....omg....I had a serious pulse racing. The second that Head made that AWESOME steal....i couldn't stay in my seat. And when it finally ended-- I thought I knew we'd won-- I thought I knew their shot wasn't made in time....but I had to actually wait until the score flashed on the screen until I could finally cheer and holy crap it was so exciting.

Reading the news about it this morning actually makes me tear up-- this is definitely one of those emotional sports moments to never forget. For me, at least.

Frick, I missed it! Go IL.

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.

Hmmm, you think it was a hockey game or something I had to endure my wife ranting and raving about it all freaking night and the repeated question "How can you say this not exciting?" It's a freaking game where you slap someones wrists, it's a foul Hockey you can line someone up, catch them with their head down, crossing the blue line, and check them hard enough they need a stretcher to take you off the ice........and you don't get a penalty, ahhh the differences between a game and a sport

Side note....Arizona lost the game......Illinois didn't win it!

Sometimes goodbye is your second chance.

Amazing game! My blood pressure was off the charts and my legs were shaking so bad I could barely stand. I nearly had a heart attack. They should have put a warning on the game that it might be bad for your health.

I graduated from Illinois in 1999. Went to A&M for my master's and I am still here working on another degree. But, yes, I am an Illini first-- and foremost.

Was a great game, like the second time ever I have watched a NCAA game and it was actually exciting.
