Just heard on WGN9.

Hopefully a blessing,, cut him loose now, he'll never make it through a season. Play Orton, not hutchinson.

Bears aren't going anywhere anyways

I look at it the opposite.
Bears never play him(QB's), 1st, 2nd yr, so on) will never get a chance to see what he can do. He will go somewhere else and become Bret Farve

Put him in game situations all year.

Need to see what Orton can do. Get a feel if you need to draft another QB in the draft. We've been waiting long enough. I don't want to be 80 years old waiting for the next super bowl and talking about the 85' Bears

Orton has actually looked the best out of the 3 in the first 2 games, hes taller then the others i believe? I dont believe in the give him a year to watch crap, if the kid is smart and can execute the play book, then play him, it might be a learning year for him, but better now then failing with someone else now and then having another learning year with him next year.

Let him play, Let him play, let him play

Here is my take,

Hutchensen - most veteran of the 3 QB's. Probably will be the number 1, even though he probably has the least amount of raw talent of the 3.

Kittna - This guy knows Turner's offense, and should be given the chance to start, he is a average QB, and not starting material, but given the Bears situation, having a new Offensive coordinator, this guy comes from that offense, he will probably adapt to Norm's offense the quickest. I agree with JoJo, this guy could do okay

Orton - This guy is pure talent, however, he is unpolished, he needs time to develop mentally into the QB that he is physically capable of being. The problem with him starting this year is that Chicago fans and Chicago Media, might not give him another chance next year if he doesn't live up to expectations. Chicago is a tough city to play in, because if you show any promise, the media builds you up to an impossible standard and when you fall short of that we kick you out and look for the next talent to destroy.

As for Rex - I forsee another Doug Flute, Jim Harbough, we get rid of him like day old bread, only to have him bloom into a Great QB in another city, that or he ends up selling insurance in clevland.

We've got another retread/used-up QB to push Orton to #3

#1 hutch
#2 blake
#3 Orton

Lovie Smith + the Bears

while I don't like Jeff Blake, I don't blame Lovie Smith for making this move (if Lovie even pulled the trigger) Lets face it, the three QB's we have none of them are capable of running this offense. I just hope without a running back or quarter back, Ron Turner doesn't get the blame like last year when the last offesenive coordinator got the boot after just one season.

I forgot Jerry Angelo.

Bears should not pick a QB 1st or 2nd rd. If they have no plans to use him and have no idea how to develop a QB.

If they had Montana, Elway, Marino, Young. They would have screwed that up too.
Every yr. I hear about some slimmed down play book.

a few running plays and few 5-10 passes.
Jerry's kids could handler that.

I think Lovie should have moved Orton to 2nd string....I have been really impressed with him....and I think he has so much more potential then Blake...Hopefully Hutchinson (who BTW is one goofy lookin muthafucka ) will work for us....Ya just gotta have some FAITH!!!! ......errr

the problem with your logic is that you are seeing orton in preseason playing against second and sometimes third string defenses. The pocket lasts longer, recievers get open more often, running backs are always viable. I still think that Orton is a talented ball player, and will one day make a respectable quarterback (nobody needs to remind me of PT willis at this point) but not right now he isn't ready. I am not saying that the bears did good by getting blake, and the only fault I put on the bears shoulders is not getting a brad johnson, Kurt Werner in the offseason like they were trying.

oh and Jim,

If you really think that we should bring Jeff George back, why not Chris Chandler, at least he was good at mentoring our young QB's, Jeff George is a has been, granted the bears got Blake who is probably a never was, but Jeff George is no better

Jeff George was the best QB the Bears have ever had
...and not played

Like Mikr North said, they were afraid he'd make all their QB's look bad, especially the Saviour Rex
