I am watching it, but I got something like 10 free tickets to Friday's game. I am taking the family and some friends from work. It's great knowing people on the Wirtz managament team.

I went to Friday's game. the first pre-season game. Boring! scrimmage

Good thing My sister got them from a Wirtz company. I'd be pissed to pay full price to see the kids play.

Good to hear Pat Foley's call. Makes it more exciting.

Also, interesting rule changes. Created for Offense.
Although I wonder with records on goals and assists, how that will compare
to records of old. Sort of like Baseball players on Steriods.
asterick* next to the name.

No more two line pass - penalty Player can wing-it farther up ice.
No need to skate and handle puck if it can be done.

Icing - team that ices has to keep same 5 players on the ice.

Goalie pads are smaller

Goalie can only go within a certain area, two new lines behind the net.

End of Game shoot out

We'll see how the season goes and if these rules are better for the game.

It's going to take an entire season to re-train the players to adapt to these new rules, so it's probably not going to be exciting until next year. Just think about it, these guys are raised their whole lives to play a certain way and now they are told to play differently. They will have to read the plays and defend differently. It's going to take time.

Something different this year.
At time outs, 4 hot babes skate around with shovels and clean around the goal.

That game sucked, the pace sucked, for a young "fast" team, they seemed slow.
