As soon as they open the game back up, i.e. the style of play in the 80's; i'll be back watching full time. That little strike didn't help anything either.

Rick, put the pipe down.

Nothing is better than pro football. However, hockey is a great game too, especially if you go to the stadium. TV doesn't do it justice. Playoff hockey is one of the most exciting sports to watch.

I was the biggest Blackhawk fan in the early 80's up until the early 90's when Dollar Bill Wirtz started f*king up the franchise.

Its still good to check other team to see what real skilled passing and skating looks like.

Good ol' dump and chase'
throw the puck at the net hope for a rebound.
Nobody does that crap as much as the Blackhawks

Where at? I used to play up to about two years ago. Getting old and slow

Played on leagues over the years at Downers Grove, Seven Bridges, Fox Valley Ice Arena, Center Ice, Johnnys Ice house....etc.

Once was on a team sponsored by Juke Box Saturday Nights.....team was called the Juke Cocks!

We have a pretty good team. Almost all of us played Juniors or some sort of college level hockey. Non Check league but containment is exceptable if you know what I mean. The only thing that sucks is some of the games are late on week nights.

I know what you mean. I never played when I was a kid so I suck badly. I want to play at the higher levels though so I don't get the BS that seems to run rampant in the lower levels. I will probably end up playing rat hockey all winter instead since I suck so badly.

Did I mention that I suck?

Rat hockey is fun for some practice, but I can't stand how its so overly nonorganized. Trying to get a game going can sometimes be a pain in the ass, and then getting people to either wear a light or dark jersey and then some people still don't want to play. There like, oh no man, I'm not playing, I'm just shooting around. Fuck you get off the ice dickhead before I shoot a 90 mph slap shot at your face.

never had that problem actually. The rat hockey at fox valley on Friday nights is pretty good. The only problem is when all of the high school kids dress in white and all us old farts dress in dark.

What time is that on Friday nights. I'd like to come up and shoot around a bit. They only have rat at SW during the day. And since the power went out down here on the south side, I guess all the ice melted and they have to redo it.

This week its 9:30 - 11 (over 21), and then 1130 - 1250.

Be forewarded, that sometimes the turnout is small with no goalies (4 on 4 usually); however, I've seen it where the benches are full with 5-6 goalies.

I just got a call we have the ice in St. John Indiana tonight at 9:40. They just opened it back up. Big facility similar to Orland or Seven Bridges. They have an international style rink and a NHL style. I think I'm going out there for a bit. 20 bucks to play for 2 hours.

That's a good deal. I play on Sunday mornings at like 6am and it's 100 for 7 sessions.
