Tha Yankees Suck!!!

Yeah, I know it's a coupla days late, but how great is it that with an over $200 million team they still can't win the World Series? And then they blame the manager! Yeah, they blame the guy that hasn't missed the playoffs for how long?!? Haha, I hate the friggin Yankees, but blaming a manager that gets a new, upgraded (like in cost, too), team every 2 years is ridiculous...Oh well, he's staying for another year, until he gets fired.

They can subtract some of that payroll now. Or pick-up another pitcher to help them come close to a World Series?

Just remember this the next time the Yanks take the Series and all you Yankees haters are like "waa waa they are so unfair they BUY their championships waa waa waa"

Because clearly they do not merely buy their champaionships. No matter what they spend, they still have to win games, just like everyone else, in oder to be champions.

So if money doesn't always buy the win.....what the hell is taking the Cubs so long?

Money buys enough wins to GET to the playoffs, not win them. All Steinbrenner does is buy a buttload of good expensive players and throw them all together. He doesn't have a TEAM, he has 25 players that are great at baseball. Oh, and fun fact, they haven't won a World Series since their payroll exceeded $100 Million

You just repeated what I said. You can spend all the money in the world, you still have to win games. Whether or not their payroll is over $100M is irrelevant; the point is that they always spend a lot-- sometimes they win and sometimes they don't. Therefore, their winning is not a direct result of their spending.

So if winning isn't a result of spending, then when they DO win, it's unfair to say that they bought their championship.

Oh, and fun fact: they've still won more World Series than any other team.

Exactly, this is similar to our USA basketball teams. Just putting five superstars on the floor isn't good enough, they have to play well together. This is also the reason why any team TO is on is doomed to fail.

Yeah, but TO is a piece of S$%#...Some of the Yankee players are great players and would be likeable on any other team. Then some I want to every chance I get.
