World Series Dirt?

Sure looks like pine tar or something to me. The fact that it looks the same in two different games is suspect. The first one is from ALCS, the 2nd from Game 2 of the Series.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

vasoline, pine tar, snot or whatever. Remember when the guy tried to hide the nail file.

If I was Kenny Rogers I would just say I don't use toliet paper.

FYI...this is a (somewhat) accepted practice in cold weather...now, that being said, it's generally limited to fingertips only and not the whole palm...let alone a pic showing the same on July 25th

This is the reason Larussa and the players aren't in an outrage, it's a player fraternity thing that they all know about and accept, but Rogers made it too obvious and has drawn the attention.

It's a shame.

There's a TON of them...sandpaper in the glove (Clemens got busted for this in '03), razor blades in the sleeve, even wedding rings used to scuff the ball...as stated in Major League, anything to get an edge. Much better than steroids in my opinion.

+1, I think it's part of the game to use these tactics to get the ball to do what you want. Roids on the other hand fuck you up, that I think is the difference.
