Da Bulls

Anyone here catch the game last night? The Bulls absolutely spanked the Heat after they were given there rings. The game looked a bit sloppy on both ends, but there's a reason you win by 42 points. I guess it was the greatest deficit a defending champion has lost by on their opening game of the season ever.

I'm liking these Chicago sports teams setting records again ... now for the Cubs to pony up and get Aramis back. Also, the Bulls resigned Kirk Hinrich 5 years for 47.5 million at a Chicago discount -- Tony Parker got 6 years for 66 million so I guess that's the discount.

yeah it was great to see them click like that. Big Ben looked good and they dominated on the boards. Thomas even looked good for his first game. It's gonna be a great season

Yeah, did you notice how the Bulls passing has improved? They were swinging the ball around better than I've seen in a lot of years. I've watched most of the games since the Jordan era, and especially in the last 3-4 years this team has come a long way. I think with their increased experience now they really look like a fully capable basketball team, and not just a few pieces.

Beautiful game...Course, I was at Sam Maguire's getting blitzed at a Halloween Party while watching it so my judgment could have been (and probably was) tainted a bit. I'm not the biggest basketball fan, but I hate Shaq and the Lakers, and when he went to the Heat, my hatred moved with him

they still don't have a go-to scorer though, and in my opinion, they rely way too much on perimeter scoring.

I wouldn't be suprised to see them package a few young players and some draft picks to make a move for a big name talent before the trading deadline. I've been saying they need to trade for Garnet for a while. hope it finally comes true!

Yeah I've been saying that about Garnett as well. I really think that Luol Deng is going to become a superstar in the next couple years. He has a nice smooth jumper, is an amazing interior player, great length and has grown an inch since they drafted him and is 6'9" now and just 21 years old. He's a player I would NOT package in a deal for anyone. As much as I like Ben Gordon when his jumper is on, I really think he'd be the player to be packaged to leave the Bulls for a big name scorer. I think an interior scorer is the only thing we need, because as the Bulls have proved the last few years, their mid-range and long-range shooting is excellent -- in fact, it's the only way they've scored since we had Elton Brand.

I puke in my mouth every time I hear the name Elton Brand. how can you trade a guranteed 20/10 guy (25/10 last year) for a stiff out of high school?

I actually like Nocioni more than Deng. both are good young players, but Noc has that meanstreak. He really stepped up at the end of the year, and in the playoffs too.
