Bears vs. Giants prediction

It looks like this game is going to be the Blue Cross Blue Shield game with all the injuries. NY has lost both starting DE's and the Bears are out their only deep threat and Urlacher looks to be playing on one toe. It's always tough to predict games in the NFL but this one is the toughest i've looked at this year. So I decided to play Nostradomus and do my most in-depth prediction of the year.

I'm going to go with a Bears victory by the score of 20-13. It's a close game the entire way with the Bears holding a slight lead and both teams running a conservative offense. The Bears break a punt return or an INT for a TD and Benson gets one on the ground or one our TE's gets a 2 yard TD gift. Gould adds the other 6 points going 2/3 on FG attempts. Rex goes 14/24 for 165 yards with 1 INT. Jones and Benson combine for 150 yards on 30 carries.

NY gets a short TD from Brandon Jacobs after being set up by a big play from Shockey or Burress. Their kicker Feely goes 2/4 on FG attempts to add the other 6 points. Manning goes 15/23 for 185 yards with 1 INTs. Barber and Jacobs combine for 100 yards on about 30 carries. Barber coughs up the ball once as does Shockey.

I think the only way the Giants beat the Bears tonight is if they get AMAZING play from their defensive reserves and air the ball out to beat us deep. I don't think Tom Coughlin is willing to play aggressive on offense at home so the Bears win 20-13. Could be more lopsided if Grossman has one of his "bounce-back" games.

Bears better just hold on to the fucking ball tonight. They must of soaked there hands in grease for the game against the Dolphins. We need solid defense and Rex needs to be in tune with his receivers on where the ball is going to be. If there is a chance of an interception he needs to have a back up plan. Smart offense (we don't need to score 1000 points) and solid Bears defense, we need to strip the ball, take it from these guys, and I want to see some sacks, that is what's going to win this game.

NY is not going to be a push over tonight.

I fear Tiki Barber tonight. Good rushers can really F up the Bears D. T

his one could come right down to quarterback play.

Sorry for the bad news. But I plan on watching the game 2nite. If any of you are superstitious then they will lose. Every time I watch they get spanked.

All philistines and non-believers must be taught to see the light. Rex shall take care of the ball in the foul weather tonight and lead the team to victory over the "me-me-me pee-wee giants".

absolutely right---only 1/2 way through the season with 1 loss but it is a must-win...

So would you say that Brad Johnson is a superbowl QB?
I don't think anyone would have said he was when the bucaneers won it.

bears are looking a little better, after that first drive the defense has tightened up, and the offense went into the shotgun. the bears in the shotgun.

yeah... bears go into the half with momentum, we are down by three, but if we can get the running game kick started, we should be okay for the second half

I would really doubt it, he probably saw something just as he was about to take a lead.

just out of curiosity, if he would have gotten to say like the 30, what happens? do they get the ball at the spot of the kick, where it's downed? the better of the two?

what happens? anybody?
