might I remind everybody that this is CHICAGOLANDsportbikes two posts and both have the bears getting beat at some point...

that's like telling a six year old there is no Santa Claus and it's just his mother charging a credit card they have no realistic goal of ever paying off and that shitty Christmas gift they received will eventually be the straw that broke the proverbial monkey's back spiraling the parents into bankruptcy and then constant arguments about money eventually leading to divorce, which in turn will cause that kid to seek a life of drugs and promiscuous sex...

I'm going to go ahead and throw it out there that WHEN the Bears make it to the Superbowl (I'm from Chicago, dont' fight me on this!) I will probably be completely sober because I want to remember this day forever, as I was only 5 years old the last time they won it. The second they win, however, I will be tankin back shots like prohibition is being brought back the next day.

My super bowl prediction is:

With poor rating, the NFL will bring on Dick Clark to MC the half time show where he will wipe out his cock on national televsion and proceed to nail a female reporter from ESPN up again one of the subwoofers.

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

God, that was painful to watch Dick Clark doing NYE this year. Stroke or no stroke, that was creepy.
I'd rather see that wardrobe malfunction for the halftime show.

My prediction is Bears over whoever faces them in the Superbowl!

Cool

+1 on Chargers over Bears. I love the Bears but I'm pretty realistic about Grossman's skills as a QB.

This is a tough one....especially in the NFC. I think the Eagles or the Bears come out on top. The Bears have the talent to do it but I am very worried about the coaching staff right now. If the Bears pound Benson and Jones 35+ times and the defense starts blitzing a bit more, they win the NFC fairly easily. Otherwise it's the Eagles who shock the Bears with an aggressive defense and another poor Grossman game.

In the AFC it's the Ravens all the way. The Chargers find out that Rivers is still a developing QB who cannot win beat the Ravens pressure defense. The Ravens look like the best team in the NFL to me right now.

[Homer On]
Superbowl is Bears vs. Ravens. Bears win a squeaker 19-17. Robbie Gould goes 4-4 including a clutch 47 yarder to win it as time expires.

so the shotenheimer factor holds true again.

championship predictions, the bears beat NO next week with a hester return late in the third quarter and a bears defense that shuts out drew bree's in the fourth quarter after new orleans scores twice in the third.

new england goes into Indy and in a shoot out will win 34-31 with a late field goal.

first off, I truely feel that Payton is domed to be the next Marino, great hall of fame caliber quarter back, but never wins a championship.

secondly, regardless of how the NO / bears game goes, the pats beat Indy

bears are 2.5 point favorites over the saints... granted home field is a big deal, but given the excitement levels at solderfield next weekend, I have a feeling it will be a big deal.

You get an automatic 3 point advantage for being the home team. The Bears only being favored by 2.5 means the Saints are actually favored by .5. fwiw

you get 3 for a reason... call it what you will, but vegas is anticipating the bears to win by 2 or 3 points...

yes, you do get 2 to 3 points because your the home team. so when you remove the stadium and the crowd the New orleans saints are probably a .5 point better team, but the fact remains that this game is played at soldier field in front of 53,000 screaming bear fans

The bears have a tough game ahead of them against NO, drew bree's is a talented quarter back, and with Reggie Bush running thats going to be a tought team to beat... and your right, even if the bears win, they are going to have an even tougher game in the superbowl, because Indy and New england are both very capable teams... one game at a time

The Bears gave the game to the Patriots when they played. They could have easily won. Brady blah blah blah

Brady played absolutely horrible vs the Chargers but nobody ever says anything remotely negative about him. meh.

brady and new england don't make many mistakes in the playoffs, and when the game was on the line, brady did what he had to do... your right, the guy gave up a few picks, but when you throw the ball 50 times that is bound to happen.

they also played by most accounts the best team in football.

don't get me wrong, I think the bears can beat anybody out there, they can also lose to any team out there just like every other team in football...

just like Chris Berman says, there are no guarantees in football, that's why we play the games.
